I bought some Roundup Poison Ivy killer, not just Roundup! I just got the "ready-to-use" bottle and misted the whole "tree"....all ten feet of it! on my side of the fence and then let myself into my neighbors' yard (they're away) and did the same on their side. I'm interested to see what happens with this monster plant, and will let you all know in a day or so!

Hey...a SWAT team is not a bad idea! I'm watching this tree after misting all the leaves yesterday, and so far it looks as healthy as ever. Hoping it will work, and will let y'all know!

Two days now since spraying the "tree" with the Roundup Poison Ivy killer and it looks as healthy as ever! I'm wondering how long it takes to kill the stuff!

Can you possibly dress in jeans, pull your socks up over your pant legs, put on long sleeves and gloves, and dig up the roots and pour gasoline on them? I realize you can't set it on fire, but the gasoline should do it.

I hope this helps.

Now for a stupid question...because someone had to ask and since I thought of it..."Are you sure it's poison ivy????

(If you already have the gasoline out there and the neighbor is away...well...just look them in the eye when they come back and say "Lightening struck - right out of nowhere"...Don't blink) blinking when you talk is a sign of lying...

She can't set it on fire, we're in a drought and she'll get put in jail. Also, there's a fence under there somewhere.

Drag a hose out there...use the shovel to dig a ditch to contain the fire...be careful now...dirt does burn.

Its lightening, for heavens sakes...a part of the fence will have to go.

Jail...pretty stiff sentence for a bit of poison ivy killing.

.."lightening"...it'll work...trust me...don't touch anything...wear plastic bags on your feet and gloves...

We are going to kill this bush...if I have to buy a plane ticket and come down there...I will. If this doesn't work there are always explosives...I have some recipes. Poison Ivy tree...update... Poison Ivy tree...update...

Does this help at all??????

This morning, now that it's raining, the tree is looking kinda sickly, and droopy. Maybe this killer stuff takes its good ole time. Thanks for the suggestion of the gasoline! Yeah..a fire would do it! But it would burn down not only the fence, but the storage building adjacent to it as well!, not to mention much of the rest of the wooden fence. It has spread so densely between the storage bldg and fence, one can't get to the roots without getting into the thick of it, but perhaps pouring gasoline in the vicinity of the roots will be my next attempt! The neighbors don't even know I went over into their yard and sprayed the whole thing on their side as well as mine.

Yah...roundup is pretty through stuff and it does work. The explosion would probably have been a bit much for the neighborhood. Glad to hear that it is wilting.

Who actually grows poison ivy on purpose...would there be a reason that I can't comprehend??? Poison Ivy tree...update...

LOL, MOJO...we didn't know it was poison ivy till a few weeks ago...I moved into this house last summer and the neighbor talked to me about the "plant" that was growing over into my yard from her side, and I said, it's pretty, after she offered to cut it back!
