This just reminded me of something way back when I was in 5th grade. The whole class had done something that irritated the teacher & he gave this massive amount of math homework over the weekend. I was the only one in the class that completed it ALL.
I really liked this teacher & ended up staying friends with him & his wife for years after I was in his class.

Always the weird kid...but this stands out..My favorite day of the week is Tuesday. When ppl look at me odd and ask why...cuz Tuesday was always the day we had "library" in elementary school. Lol in conjunction with that.... 5th grade teacher (onna Tuesday) told us to pick any book of our choice, any book in the whole library, Full book report hand written and oral presentation in 1week. I choose Les Miserables.....unabridged.

I love LOVE Lord of the Rings and Star Trek the Next Generation. Captain Picard all the way baby! I also have a ton of action figures and collectables from the DC and Marvel Universe. But I consider myself a geek more than a nerd.

I didn't realise I was a nerd until much later in life. It was in my last job where I was mercilessly workplace bullied and I was hauled into yet another abusive attack vaguely disguised as a "meeting" during which I was told that I am clearly the most intelligent person in the place because of the level of my work performance in my actual role but also my intimate knowledge of the operations that my role did not directly involve and my ability to constantly juggle additional workload whilst assisting others . This was smartly followed up with the question "What is wrong with you?"
And I am the one with a MI!!!!!!!!!
