Gowns are really helpful for little ones. They are cooler than those terrible pj things and they can still kick their legs and move around. They tie loosely at the bottom.

Wow, thanks guys!!!

Pegasus - thanks for reminding me that she got SOME (5) bottles that she plans to use. She needs more. She has everything else on your list. Baby needs thank you! NO, I lied...what is a moses basket (it sounds so inviting)?

Gem - thank you!!!! yes, he needs that. He has a nice water sounds one, but not exactly what we wanted with heartbeat, etc.

Jan - thank you. He has several gowns. Mammaw (me) just bought him a few converters...so nice by carters i think...they convert from sleeper to gowns and back again. Baby needs

mybestkids2 - thank you! Yes, we need to buy the nursery water for concentrate. She got the cutest thing at her shower...little cups to store formula in servings for traveling, etc. I got him the "cadillac" of bouncy seats. Baby needs It's awesome...vibrate, soothing sounds, etc.

mellors-thank you! you know, that's something he doesn't have...chews. He won't need them right away, but I especially love the little stuffies that have the chews on the end. Thank you!

GG - welcome! If you need more, let me know. Baby needs

Keep it coming y'all! Thank you so much!

you know what i found really helpful for my babysitter...burp cloths....and they dont have to be like those big blanket things..my sister had little square white burp cloths and it also ended up being like a security blanket lol.....
also dont forget binkies....um..lol. pacifiers ...thats the real name ...pacifiers....

and tell your daughter...after feeding the baby formula....give some water in a bottle....or get little swabs to swab out the babys mouth....my mother made me drink some water and swab my mouth out everytime i drank formula and i still to this day dont have a cavitiy.....the dentist asked why my teeth were so strong and my mom told him what she used to do and he said it was a brilliant idea.....

dont forget socks ....and booties.....and what about that foam thing to keep the baby in place in the crib...its a big debate about letting the baby sleep on the stomach or back...but they have like foam protecters so the baby doesnt get their head stuck anyway....remember dont put to much stuff in the crib easier way for a baby to suffocate....

good luck...if i think of anything else ill let you know....!!!!!
love,
inny

kimmydawn,

Here is a picture of a Moses basket. It is really handy as it can be placed where ever you need.

not sure people sterilize anymore. put them in a pot of boiling water if needed for a few minutes. I love those bottles that have the lining and you just toss it out. platex makes them and I think evenflo.
I don't think I saw pacifier on the lists so far but I don't like them anyway but at times she might need one.

three pack baby tooth brush kit.... for each of the stages, including brushing gums.... a washcloth works well too for gums..

baby size nail clippers

sleeping wedge....the one I had was two wedges with fabric in middle to keep baby on side... I had to use it for two reasons, one to help open up my asthmatics and two for my spitter uppers...

the infant car seat insert to cradle baby's head....

onesis... loved these!

balmex or butt paste or desitin bottom ointment...

cloth diapers make the BEST burp clothes...

baby wipe warmer...

car bottle warmer... loved mine!

extra disposable cameras to carry in bag for those need to capture moments....

bottle brush...

nursing pillow that wraps around mommy... I used reg pillows and would have LOVED to have had one of the real things....

lots of nursing pads and a couple of catch all cups for bras just in case she is faucet.... I wasnt but a friend of mine was and these cuppies worked great for her...

nursing nighties for mom...
