Today I was trained by someone who didn't speak any English. It was very stressful because she would tell me to do something and I couldn't understand, and it seems like she was very angry with me. Turns out, this person is the nicest person in housekeeping and she was overwhelmed because we are hitting our peak season. I'd like to write her a thank you note in Spanish, but I don't trust an online translator and she'd be able to tell if I used a translator. If someone could translate my thank you note in Spanish, I'd really appreciate it.

Here goes:

Dear Salut,

Thank you so much for teaching me how to clean the bathroom and make it look perfect. I really appreciate your help. I know very little Spanish and I would like to learn so we can help each other clean our rooms. I am looking forward to be working with you.

Sincerely,
Kelly

I clicked on this and really considered taking a stab at translating, but I don't trust my spanish enough, not yet.

Don't be afraid of Google Translate. This thank-you note will mean a lot to her and I would hate for you both to lose out of the benefit it will bring.

That's thoughtful of you for wanting to do that. I know basic Spanish. I would like to become fluent in it. I agree with Pumpkin about Google Translate. I use that to chat with native Spanish speakers who are learning English. They understand me. I would recommend it.

Querida Salut,

Muchas gracias por enseñarme cómo limpiar los baños y hacerlos ver perfectos. De verdad aprecio tu ayuda. Sé muy poco español y me gustaría aprender para ayudarnos entre nosotras a limpiar nuestros cuartos. Estoy entusiasmada por trabajar contigo.

Sinceramente,
Kelly.

I'm currently writing a novel in Spanish, so this was a piece of cake. Hope it helps.

Ah, brought back the 5 years of Spanish I learned in high school & junior college. LOL....back in junior college I would get bored with the sermons at church & would translate them into spanish in my brain just for the practice.
