I wonder why some people can treat others as less than human. In fact I struggle with this a great deal. It is so wrong! This is 2016, not 1716.

I wonder what it is that makes people scared? What is the mechanism? I know dangerous people scare people because of self preservation but what about bugs? What really happens in our brains to scare us?
Thanks for this!

if their has been the tudor period, the vikings, the victorians, the middle ages, the aztecs, the steuarts, then... what is the name of the era we are in now?
(when history teachers talk about us, what will they say)

I wonder what transform a person, at what point do we, as people changes? I know CBT- thoughts, feelings and actions, challenging irrational thoughts and all that. I know mindfulness and Aceptance and Committmemt therapy. I know interpersonal theory. I know psychodynamic theory but again, what is the driving force for change? What makes us change. I know the theory of change , pre contemplation all the way through maintenance but still...what makes us change?

Here Is When Each Generation Begins and Ends, According to Facts - The Atlantic

Baby Boomers. This is the agreed-upon generation that falls within DiPrete's punctuated timeframe. It began when the Greatest Generation got home and started having sex with everyone; it ended when having sex with everyone was made easier with The Pill.
Generation X. George Masnick, of the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies puts this generation in the timeframe of 1965 to 1984, in part because it's a neat 20-year period. He also calls it the "baby bust," mocking "[p]undits on Madison Avenue and in the media" that call it Generation X. Ha ha, tough luck.
Generation Y. Masnick addresses this group, too, putting it "anywhere from the mid-1970s when the oldest were born to the mid-2000s when the youngest were." But mostly Generation Y is a made-up generation when it became obvious that young kids didn't really fit with the cool Generation X aesthetic but not enough of them had been born to make a new generation designation. NOTE: Generation Y is a fake, made-up thing. Do not worry about it.
Millennials. In October 2004, researchers Neil Howe and William Strauss called Millennials "the next great generation," which is funny. They define the group as "as those born in 1982 and approximately the 20 years thereafter." In 2012, they affixed the end point as 2004.
TBD. But that means that kids born in the last 10 years lack a designation. They are not Millennials. Earlier this month, Pew Research asked people what the group should be called and offered some terrible ideas. In other words, this is the new Generation Y. We'll figure out what they're called in the future.

I can save you the wondering, those born within the last 10 years are called Neo-Millennials..(yes, I just made that up, but it sounds cool and legit nonetheless, right?).

I wonder - and am worried - that some situation will rise up presenting a hurdle to or cause cancellation of my planned holiday. 19 days and I am trying to convince myself that for once something will go off without a hitch.

I am an from the United States of America. I am pro USA so I want to make sure that is clear before I write this. I like to win. That being said, I want the USA to do well in the Olympics but out professional NBA players and how we are obliterating other countries so far in the exhibitions I wonder if we should be winning by so much, so much that it may humiliate or dignity the other countries players? I do like to win I am just wondering it right now.

As someone from one of those countries who's being defeated at basketball it is unfair that the NBA pros are allowed to play. The Olympics is about amateur excellence in sport.
