What is the best /worst present you have ever received?

And what is the worst present you have given to someone else?

The worst present I ever got was a music tape from my uncle that came free with a box of cereal, what made it worse was I already had the tape.

The worst present I ever gave was a new iron, to my wife, for Xmas, well she said she didn’t want anything and we needed a new iron, we used to iron other peoples clothes for extra cash so I bought her a top of the range one, ( i can iron a shirt perfectly in less than 3 mins) to say she was not impressed would be a gross understatment of the venom she was spitting at me, I got the cold shoulder for my present.

The best present I ever got was a motorbike from my dad, granted it took a year before it had a engine that worked but I learned so much about bike mechanics that I have never forgotten, because of that bike I love nothing more than being up to my eyeballs in engine grease fiddling with bits of engines

Hmmm - I can't think of anything specific. My husband gave me a gold bangle for valentines day last year which was a huge upgrade on the handheld vacuum cleaner he gave me for valentines day the year before. (He thought it was romantic as I wouldn't have to sweep so much) I'm still scratching my head over that one!

I have a bunch of gaudy (and quite ugly) cosmetic jewellry that my mother-in-law gives me each birthday. Always appreciated but not necessarily the best gifts (I mean, if she doesn't know by now that I don't wear cosmetic jewellry, I guess she never will).

The worst gift I have given is probably a CD I gave to my husband years ago. I didn't listen properly in a conversation we had about a particular song that was on this CD and I thought he liked the CD, not just one song. He has never even opened it (and I had it imported)

The worst presents I think I received for Christmas time was hunting equipment from my now ex husband. While I enjoyed hunting with him, I was not always enthused about receving equipment as gifts.

Then, the best gifts I ever received have always been from my kids and grandson. The little nicknacks they get when they are little and the beeming faces as you open the gifts...it's just precious!

Best present - attention on my birthday and a wonderful homemade quilt my mother and sister put hours into when they told me it was too hard etc to throw me off. best / worst present.

Worst present - those junky little things they give you at the office that are left over promotional items. best / worst present.

the best present that i've ever received was a mixer, on a stand, that my parents gave me when i graduated from highschool.

i guess the worst present (worse received) was a miniature Christmas tree that i made my youngest daughter. it had decorations of everything that she likes. she was not impressed by my work......

I think the best present was a quilt my father had handmade for me. I'm really tall and he had it made extra long. It's wearing out but when I feel especially vulnerable, I curl up under it and have a comforting nap.

I think the worst present was probably the jewelry my ex bought for me. He bought what he wanted me to wear instead of what I liked.

I can't think of a "bad" present I've given to someone. I'm totally ocd about picking just the right thing. I'll have to think about that one some more.

The best present I ever got was a house. 2nd best was a Partridge Family CD.

The worst present I ever gave was the kind of stuff ya buy for an office exchange. I hate those parties. And then, they play the game that the first one gets to pick whatever present they see and on and on...I find the whole thing entirely embarrassing! best / worst present.
