Project Runway/Top Model

I know there were fans of these shows here before. I love these shows....I'm not typically a fan of reality tv, but I've always liked fasion, and I love photography. I like the shows where people are chasing their dreams too.

So Top Model begins this coming Wednesday on the CW at 7pm. I hadn't heard anything about Project Runway so I looked it up and its probably starting sometime in November. Tim Gunn is returning even with his new show. They're shotting the season now.

So....where are my other fans of these shows? Guilty pleasure tee hee.

Tim's show started a couple weeks ago. I'm sure it's in endless reruns on Bravo already if you missed them. A lot of people I've talked to hate it, but how can you hate Tim? The format could use some tweaking, though, it's true.

I have been a Project Runway addict since the beginning and I totally can't wait for that to start either, although on Tim's show they have been introducing the new contestants one by one, and so far the Season 4 people are clones of contestants from Seasons 1, 2, and 3. There's a "Jay" clone and a "Daniel V." clone, for sure. The originals are always better!

And I hate to admit I watch Top Model . That's the ultimate definition of guilty pleasure! LOL

Ooooh good I'm not alone lol!! I haven't seen any of Tim's show. They've been doing marathons of old Runway shows so I've been watching a lot of that. I watch the Top Model marathons all the time to. What is it with these shows that are so addicting??? Usually I can't stand watching stick thin women struttin around lol!! I think its the creativity involved. On Top Model, I love the photography and stuff. And of course on Runway watching the clothes that get developed even though I'd never wear most of them.

Anyway, Top Model starts tonight!! You're gonna watch right? And then we can talk ish about all the girls!!! Tee hee!

Yep, I'm planning to watch! It will be fun to have somebody to be catty with, LOL . I don't know what it is about these shows either, but they sure are fun! I'm sure a lot of it is in the editing, as they make it easy to root for and against certain people. I like the creativity of Runway, but I like the beeotch judges even better! LOL

Part of it too is that I'm never even going to come remotely close to being in either of the situations those people find themselves in. There's a little fantasy/voyeurism stuff going on.

LOL you've got that right. Totally not anything I'd ever experience!!! I like to eat ice cream while watching Top Model, cuz those girls can't while worrying about their figure hahaha. Its a tradition my mom started with the Miss America pageant when I was a kid. We'd eat cookies cuz those girls couldn't. Ahhhh......simple pleasures hahaha!!!

Now that's a sense of humor!

I don't do well with schedules, but do watch this when I happen upon it. Maybe it's the inborn photog in me, idk

I like Project Runway and Top Chef. I've watched Top Model a couple times but have never been into make up and looks or clothes so don't think I "get it" very well. Some of the shows seem to get too hoity-toity for me :-) I can't imagine Tim Gunn's show; I only like him in Runway as a "comic relief" :-)

Tim is a scream both on Runway and his show. I love his reactions to things. I don't get it when people make a big deal out of his vocabulary, though. He doesn't use any words I don't use, and yet last season on the Runway reunion show they made a huge deal out of how nobody understands him. Either I have an outstanding vocabulary or the bulk of people are really stupid.

I love him on Runway. He's definitely a crack-up. But I really love his compassion towards the designers. He always gets so worried when things don't seem to be going well for them.

I enjoy Tim Gunn too...but again, don't catch the shows all the time. I certainly know all the words he uses, he just pulls them in when most people are accustomed to them? He is quite a character.
