I admin on a site for self injurers and we have a lot of college age kids posting. One member posted that she was stressing about looking for her first full time job, and was worried about one of her references from a prior job because she'd missed a lot of time.

i posted giving wome basic encouragement and suggestions on how she could work around or at least talk to the old employer about giving her a decent reference, and said that even though I'd basically been fired for showing up drunk, my old boss still gave me a great reference.

She posted back saying thanks for showing me there's life after screwing up LOL.

Glad I can be a role model of bouncing back.
