I am sure there are questions like this buried in the archive someplace......

What does everyone collect, or would like to collect? Stamps, coins, marbles. milk tabs, etc. The list could be endless.

Besides building model race cars when I am up to it, I also collect beer and soda bottle caps and cans. Well, I did, don`t anymore, as I can`t make it to the basement anymore. I also collect drumsticks from different drummers. Most of them rock. Dave Grohl, Peter Criss, John Bonham, Jason Bonham and others.
Thanks for this!

I'm a cheap lady so I like to collect rocks and fossils. Also, I like to wander in the woods and find old half buried glass bottles. I did find an adorable tin lid and a weird tin thing that I think was once a cover to a big propane cylinder (not sure if that's the right word) but it looks like a little house!

I collect dolls. Fashion dolls, collector dolls, porcelain dolls. I have certain prefrences as to what doll I like, naturally. I prefer fashion dolls. I also just got done with my first ever OOAK (One of a Kind) doll. It wasn't a super complicated customization, but yeah, it came out really well, I think. I had a thread going on around here somewhere that detailed what I did.

Edit: Here's the link. https://forums.psychcentral.com/gene...ing-dolls.html

Another thing I've sort of collected are digital pets. You remember that Tamagotchi phase in the 90's, well I have a few of those, some older, some newer, along with a few Furbies knocking around.

For hobbies: wood working and refinishing; building furniture; gardening; reading; organizing and decorating for myself and others; and a lot of time agility training, waking and playing with the dogs.

I collect:
Shells and geodes, crystal, and aqua blue glass, mostly vases and bowls but some times other smaller items if they are interesting to me. I have a collection of vintage Breyer horses but have stopped collecting them (for the most part) . I can't forget the plants; I am obsessed with having different plants and the challenge of growing them.

I really am trying not to collect anything anymore as am out of room and am trying to downsize; some times I do really well, however, there are times that I just can't help myself. I so need to get better about this.

My old computers are my hobby, but they are more of an accumulation than a collection!

I don't collect anything because I don't like clutter and junk.

Does reading count as a hobby? That would be my hobby. Even then, I don't save the books when I am done. I usually share them or donate them.

Been a collector of sixthscale action figures from about 2000....I stopped collecting about 2009 when the hobby started getting ridiculously expensive, although I probably have something in the neighborhood of 90 figures or so (I don't even wanna know how much that cost ). The most rewarding part of that hobby is kitbashing a custom figure from parts or handmade uniforms or what have you.
I'm an avid reader, always loved the printed word, I've dabbled in drawing, and just like to make anything with my hands.

I collect Swarovski figurines when I can afford it. Otherwise not much except dust.

Rocks/stones and raven/eagle feathers pile on my nick knack shelf. As important as the items are themselves it is the stories that go with each that I cherish. Each one of these gifts has an accompanying story about how they were found and chosen. Whenever someone travels and ask for what I want them to brink back my request is hence quite very simple.

I know the sound of an old floppy disk drive booting up, or just holding a 3 and a 1/2 inch floppy disk (or even a 5 and a 1/4 inch one if I were going further back in the Nostalgia Machine) in my hand sends waves of nostalgia through me. Also, the sound of the old hissing modems as they connected to the internet through the phone line was also a big nostalgia factor for me. Can't ever forget picking up the receiver to a house phone and hearing that all to infamous sound, only to have a the person who is surfing the web on the family computer to yell "Hang up, your messing up my connection!".

Wow, you collect eagle feathers? I know that here in the US you'd need to be Native American or have a special permit just to own them. Mostly because of how highly protected eagles are, being that the Baldie is our nation's animal.

I know that eagles and even their feathers hold a highly spiritual significance to the many native peoples and they use them for ceremonies. I was lucky enough to be able to attend a ceremonial dance, or "pow wow" as they are called, when I lived in Ohio. I remember it being loud (as a girl, I was very sensitive to loud noises and music and such), and the dancers wore elaborate costumes made out of eagle feathers and animal skins.

It was amazing and frightening to my young self all at the same time. I'll never forget the beating of the drums and how they reverberated through my body and how the dancers moved around almost hypnotically as they danced and sang.

Being part Cherokee, I can understand the significance of the Eagle feathers. That part of my family walked the trail of tears....... My great grandmother made her way back to Kentucky and married my Great Grandpa, and settled down on an old dirt road, in the middle of nowhere, outside Louisa, Ky.

That wouldn`t have been the one they hold every year around Loudonville, would it? I think the area back in the early 1800`s or so was called, Greentown? At least that is what I remember. They probably taught us that in 7th grade and that has been a long time ago.

I collect broken electronics. When a machine breaks, it's usually not the whole machine that breaks - just a part of it. You never know when you might need certain parts.

My husband is like this. He has his own "supply chain warehouse" full of electronic stuff. He actually scavenges quite a bit and saves some bucks that way.

I like to collect sticker albums from the FIFA World Cup. Up to now, I have every World Cup album from 1982 to the present and I plan to collect for both the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Women's World Cup.

I also collect autographs that I ask via email, and I have about 60+ autographs.
Thanks for this!
