I have finally completed a scrapbook album that I started in early August - it is for my Grandmother's 80th birthday and I will be giving it to her on Sunday.
I just wanted to share a little of my attempts with you. I apologize in advance for the photo quality, but I have never had a steady hand with a camera! I did not want to use the actual album because I do not care for the purple (looks blue in pics) design ........ but it came with the kit I bought (being a complete amateur, I thought it best to start with a kit) and I just did not have money to buy a nicer album. As you will see here, I tried to cover a little of the front of the album with this card, also in purple, made by me.  This is the very first "spread" in the scrapbook. The first few pages were dedicated to "heritage". I love these pics of my Grandparents. My Grandfather passed away some years ago so I dedicated a page to him further in the album.  The second heritage spread ... (this photo really doesn't do justice, but it gives an idea)  A close-up of the poem on the first spread ...  Well, just thought I would share this - I am proud of my work even if it must be very "beginner-like" to the pro scrapbookers out there!

((((((((((( Sabrina )))))))))))) You did wonderful work!! Very simple but elegant. I am sure your Grandmother will be happy with it because it came from your heart. Right where it should!! I think the pages look really nice. Scrapbooking is an art in which you learn by trial and error. I am still learning many things about it and I've been doing it for 8 yrs now. They have so many new things coming out, its impossible to keep up on it all!. Keep up the great work Sabrina!! I look forward to seeing more of your pages!!

Beth, thank you so much - your comments mean a great deal. I still remember a picture you posted of your own scrapbooking some time back and I was awed!
I intend to continue scrapbooking now and hope to share a lot more of my work. Thank you again!

Thank you so much Tomi! I wish I could share more of the album, but without family's permission it would not be appropriate.
I am proud! And I enjoyed it so much - that is all that counts!

 Your getting me in the moooooooooooood now Sabrina!! I need to do my vacation piccy's but I need my old computer back before I can do that cause they are on there lol. Happy Scrapbooking!!!

Fantastic job Sabrina. Your gandmother will get to remember many great moments. Great gift.
I'm jealous. My talent drops dead right after the a in artistic. You have every right to be very satisfied with the results.
