Those statues look wonderful. I would love to visit them someday. You live in a very beautiful part of the country. It must be hard to see so many beautiful trees burned down and all the other damage that remains. Old trees take centuries to replace but nature will eventually come back; there will be beauty again.
Growing up, we would drive from Arizona yearly to visit my Grandma in San Diego followed by a visit to Disneyland in Santa Ana then about every three years we would drive north from southern California to Beaverton (Portland area), Oregon, where we would visit my uncle and his family. We would stop at various places along the way in northern California. I don't remember stopping in Santa Rosa but I did find northern California lovely. Find the entire California coast is beautifully scenic. It's no wonder that to many people live there!
Thank you for thinking of me LiteraryLark. I love California's people and places. Two of my college friends and one of my favorite neighbor's in Arizona grew up California. Arizona gets many native Californians because the cost of living in Arizona is much lower (the price of housing).
