When it comes to cleaning there are two things I really suck at: mopping the floor and cleaning the bathtub. I can never seem to get these things really clean.
My kitchen and bathroom floors are marble tile-- what can I use/do get them really clean? What are some suggestions for how to get the bathtub sparkling? Thank you! ![]() |

Depends upon your resources imo. Vinegar cleans about anything.
You can buy a book, or check one out of the library, that tells you how to keep house, from napkin folding and bed linens to cleaning that dirty tub. ![]()

I have pine floors and a very old bath tub that I am cautious with when cleaning.
Baking soda works as a gentle scrub, but I prefer to ask my cleaning lady to take care of it for me. (so so lazy, but so so nice to come home to a clean house once a week)

Since I did house cleaning as a business I better know this one. Cleaning marble and ceramic tile floors is a bit tricky in the respect that while detergents & bleach clean well they leave spots and residue when the floor dries, and can damage the grout. So get yourself a good mop and bucket set, one that makes wringing out the mop easy. I always used good cotton mops as some fabric self-wringing mops have plastic or metal parts that can scratch the floors finish. Use very hot water only in cleaning your floors. If you find the mop is to balky and is hard to wring out well, use your scissors and trim to your hearts content.
![]() As for bathtubs, some cleaning products leave bathtubs with a very slippery surface which is dangerous. So to prevent falls try cleaning with softscrub or comet cleaner and a sponge with a scouring pad. This well enable you to scrub away the dirt without damaging the finish of bathtub. Then rinse well with hot water and if you want a shiny look, lightly spray with windex glass cleaner and rub dry with paper towels.

All my life I have know that I am different. I have trouble with my thinking and processing information. I have trouble in keeping close friends. I am afraid of living, and I don't really know why. I am good at pretending everything is all right, by just gritting my teeth and just charging ahead and getting through the rough spots, but inside I am afraid of failure and getting critized for things I do. I am hoping someone can help me, or at least understand me. |
