AS part of an anger management course i learnt to knitt at one time, have forgoten now, so does that qualify me or not for the chat?

i am gonna to miss the 1st sewing chat . a friend just called and needs help getting ready for a baby shower i have to be at her house right at the time chat starts .

i am sad to miss it. please don't take my absence as not interested. i hope to make it to the next one

Oh wow. I used to sew terrifically. Made my son's suits and all my clothes, drapes, you name it...reupholstered chairs and all that. I don't know that I can remember anything that everyone else also knows though.

Sewing comes in all forms, Echoes! But as you can see you can make something really pretty very simply with the right machine. Mine wasn't expensive at all. I got it through Overstock.com. It was refurbished. Looks and works like new, though!

Sorry I didnt make it. Having a bit of a domestic,,,,,,,,, no central heating. I spent thurs and Fri at my sisters who has heating! Im back home now but still no heating. My brothers friend now on way over to see if he can sort it.

No worries, ATG. I plan to save the chats if there's anything to save. There were only two of us for an hour and one that came and went in a flick of a lambs tail. LOL Maybe it will be better next time.

WOW what a pretty litte dress!

I used to collect dolls...before I had real dolls/kids.
I made cloth dolls. I used to say that I should make bogger and bogger dolls until I sent them off to college. Now that the kids have worn me to a frazzle I wish I had done that, sometimes.

Oh, Dizzy!! Do you still have any of the doll patterns?? I used to have a regional doll from Mexico made out of cloth and dressed in a regional dress. I would SO MUCH love to replace her with my own creation! Making the face scares the heck out of me, though!! LOL I know I'd give her a "honker" of a nose and the one I had, had a very dainty nose and fingers, even!

Somewhere I have a picture of her. I'll have to look for it.

LOL Yeah, when you get the real thing, dolls go by the wayside. Then when the nest goes empty, you go back to the pretend babies. I've never had so many dolls in my life as I have now.
