My daughter and I were out the other day, and we finished up what we were doing, so I thought we could just have pizza and a movie. So, I’m checking movie times and rotten tomatoes ratings and I saw the Shape of Water was just the right time slot and the ratings set great.

So, we are part way into the movie, and I’m thinking, “What is happening?!?!

I didn’t know it was a love story between a woman and a sea creature!

I do the wrong thing when I’m surprised. I just bust out laughing, oh my gosh...

My daughter knew—she thought I knew. She was cracking up at me, and then we were both trying not to laugh to keep from bothering people

It wasn’t a bad movie, don’t get me wrong...

I was wondering what the shape of water was about....I thought sci fi, which I like, romance, not so much. Thinking of going to see Star Wars today, I know it's a mixed review but I like the Star Wars movies

I live in North Florida and we're expected to get snow today. Yes, I said the words Florida and snow in the same sentence. It is damn cold outside...I'm trying not to leave the house if I can help it.

Night has brought to those who sleep
Only dreams they cannot keep
I have legends in the deep
Paint the sky with stars

Place a name upon the night
One to set your heart alight
And to make the darkness bright
Paint the sky with stars.

Snow and Florida do not go together, you're right.

I'm in the Northeast, and its been snowing since the afternoon.

I had a contractor check out a roof vent that fell down between my house and the neighbor’s. It wasn’t from my roof <yay!>. The contractor does think raccoons did it to sleep in my neighbor’s attic. I’ve seen them hanging around (i live near the woods).

Now that I know the raccoons didn’t break into my attic, I’m back to admiring how cute they are! I really do want them to leave, though.

I'm glad so many liked it.

It's from ... wait for it ... "Paint the Sky With Stars" by Enya (I looked up her real name at one point, Roma Ryan)

I kind of assumed people would recognize the moderately well known song. But I've always liked the sentiment.

Likewise, I have a mixed soft spot for raccoons -- at a distance.

It's those prehensile hands and the smarts to go with them. It's what makes them so cute, admirable, annoying, and trouble.

Well, and they do *look* cute too, when they're not cussing and snarling at you.

Oh, well put, Cep. I heard one growl at me—I had no idea they did that! It scared me so I ran back into the house!!

This is the first year I’ve ever seen them. We are trying to keep the cat food (for two strays) and the bird seed away from them.
