Yeah, it's really hard to shut myself off from business. *le sigh*

What happens when you do make a conscious effort to do relaxing things? Anxiety and restlessness, I would imagine?

I am so proud of myself.

I just wrote a letter of closure to someone whom I had a huge falling out with over a huge misunderstanding. It didn't end so well and left a lot of anger, resentment and hurt feelings inside of me.

I kept these things quashed inside of me for the longest time. 3 long years to be exact. Only recently has the stress of my homelife forced them to come bubbling and frothing back up to the surface. So, I went about writing that letter. And not only did I write it, I had it sent off to the person whom I had the falling out with.

Honestly, I don't know if he'll read it, let alone give a response, but just writing it left me feeling so free, like a heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders (or my heart), and now I can live my life without having those horrible emotions holding me back from living and loving to the fullest.

I guess this is what it's like to be released from oppression. Only my oppression was self made (in a way). I think I'm going all lightheaded now......such a free feeling.

Oh gosh, no! I would love to be able to create something as amazing as these.

I can't find the creator of this cat, but (exposing my secret source for these) two names I've posted a lot of gifs from are Robin Davey and Eran Mendel. They make very clever gif art.

Bigiorno, I think I'm going to do some "Christmas painting". Painting has always been so therapeutic for me, and I get to check off some Christmas presents as well. I have two mirrors as requested by my parents and a big square that has rows of local wine corks, most of which my parents regularly drink, that I will be painting black.

Oooo, that does sound meditative. So, the wine corks are on the square object, and the square object is attached to the mirrors? Am I picturing that right?

No, I have two mirrors and one square with wine corks on it.

I brought out the first mirror, it was huge and an antique. As I took it out to be painted, a part of it chipped off that my Mamma brought to my attention and she also told me it was too cold to paint. I laid it out and saw that there were multiple pieces missing from the mirror that I did not realize. My Papa came out to take a look. "It's junk, it's junk," I kept saying, but Papa never faltered. He said, "Mhm, mhm." Then came out with a mini dremel saw and shaved off the parts necessary to make it match. Took all but 5-10 minutes, and then he put wood putty on places that were seriously chipped. Now we wait 15-20 minutes. My Papa is amazing! He's an expert handyman and can tackle any problem, and now it is not junk, it is perfect now to be painted!

Thanks everyone for the cat / hula-hoop experiment.

I tried making a circle with a long scarf. Pud completely ignored it. But, like her owner, she is unusually self-absorbed.

It freaked me out slightly, as it looked like a black magic symbol in the middle of my living-room carpet.

I slightly felt an urge to go into the middle

Life by Misadventure 2

Google says it possibly is a thing. It could, apparently, be because they keep themselves warmest by forming their body into a circle.

This YouTube video is worth a look. The circle gets smaller. But the cat still loves it

I've warned them off stunts like that, because I'm pretty open and honest in therapy. Otherwise why waste the time, money and severe effort? I'm still convinced they did it a couple of times.

It's not like I've ever laid a finger on anyone in my life (I never did the "boys will be boys thing"), but like most people, I'm uncomfortable with my anger. The therapists never seemed concerned. They seem to view me like this:

Of course, they're right.

Grrrrrr... Some therapists.....
