Last night or this morning, however you want to view it, my dog got very sick and had diarrhea and vomiting all over my living room. I did get most of it cleaned up, but the stains need additional treating.

I have never found a very good spot carpet cleaner. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am considering breaking down and buying a Bissel pet spot treater.

My old property manager had a great spot remover that was like miracle remover. It even got out pen ink after a pen broke and got green ink on the white carpet!

Anyone have any good carpet spot removers they can suggest? I'm willing to try anything at this point. Between Fish getting sick and those darn puppies...well, you get the idea!

When I lived in a carpetted house, to get the result of poorly cat cleaned up I found diluted bleach to work fine, never having had a dog though I can't say if that will help clean up dog mess seesaws (((((seesaws)))))

Can you have your carpet professionally cleaned? I only have carpets on my stairs and landing so I tend to have it cleaned professionally every year. They do a really good job.

The best product I've found for removing stains from the carpet, is a spray called "Resolve". It's worked on every stain I've tried it on, including coffee, and red wine.

For spot cleaning buy white large spray bottle of carpet cleaner in bed bath and beyond. Not Resolve, it’s somethhng else

For large agrees we have carpet cleaning machine, it cleans everything. It’s similar to what professional cleaners use, just smaller. I think we hav Hoover of maybe Bisset? Researched reviews on Amazon and bought one of best reviews.

One of my coworkers speaks highly of the brand label Method. I have seen that they have pet specific bottles. I don't have pets nor carpets, have only used their bathroom and kitchen products. I'm satisfied with the grease removal and the pricetag. Hope you find something that works. Sounds like quite an unexpected mess. Hope your puppy is ok.

I also use Resolve. For me, it works pretty well if I really scrub the carpet with a stiff scrubber and hot water. But it's not amazing.

I wish I had a better answer for you...I've been in the situation and wasn't sure myself what to do to remove stains.

I also think of getting a Bissell pet spot treater. Might be your best bet.

I just use Spray and Wash laundry treatment on the carpet. I haven’t seen a need to go out and get anything else. I get as much up as I can of the stain with hand scrubbing, then vacuuming over the damp area gets the rest.

I had a steam cleaner for cat barf, but it set the stains. I didn’t know there was dye in cat food, so I buy dye-free pet food now. I have found all my problems were from the dye. I got rid of the steam cleaner.

Odors I use Odo-ban.

We had a rug cleaning machine called the Rug Doctor. It did a deep clean of carpets like the professionals do but is commercially available at places like Lowe's Home Improvement and some chain grocery stores.
