Even when I was a child, I never heard anybody under the age of 70 use the phrase "over yonder." It's all but gone now.

Some things may still be regional because I still hear a few of these lines where I now live.
Idioms are interesting Wher's the Beef is heard at our local annual Beef festival. Farming communities & the south have their own set of sayings I am still trying to get used to & have forgotten some of the padt ones I used to use.
