I eat sushi. I like it. My favorite is the Philly Roll with avocado and soy sauce and sometimes even wasabi when I'm in the mood for something spicy.
What is your favorite kind of sushi? |

I like avocado rolls. I know that sounds too simple, but it’s really good

I enjoy sushi but wonder half the time if its fish or escolar which is not white tuna. I didn't use to wonder if the tuna roll was real tuna, but now I do.

There are many kinds of sushi that don't contain fish.
Yeah, I've eaten sushi many times. I like California rolls okay. I'm not absolutely wild over sushi, though. It's not very filling. |

I do sometimes. I like the ones with the cream cheese. (Do I have that right?)

TL, you are correct because you like the ones with cream cheese, which are awesome, therefore you're right on. Party in mouth.

Well, I absolutely love sushi. California rolls and tuna rolls are my favorite. I also love roe (salmon eggs) sprinkled on top.
Fun Fact #1: My uncle is of Japanese decent and knows how to roll sushi, and taught me how to do it. It was a lot of fun and we made a whole afternoon of it at his house, complete with other dishes, like tamaki (a cone shaped roll of nori filled loosely with fish, sticky rice, and other ingredients that spill out of the wide end) and the adults had Saki. It was a lot of fun. Fun Fact #2: His wife, my auntie (and my mom's sister), has a fondness for Mochi, and often brings some to share. It's a sort of round squishy desert made of rice paste with a filling of sweat bean paste of a certain flavor, like strawberry or kiwi. It comes packaged in a tray of about 12 or so Mochi balls. The kind she gets has to be refrigerated or it'll spoil. The sweetness of it isn't super sweet, like most western deserts, but rather a subtle sweetness. According to my Auntie, the Japanese don't like super sweet foods. Apparently, that's more so a western thing.

I don't. I read once that the Japanese have the world's highest rate of stomach cancer. That's attributed to eating raw fish . . . by some.

Most sushi is not made with raw fish.

I like the California rolls but otherwise no. The texture of raw fish is off putting and I'm terrified of parasites lol

![]() ![]() Since sushi doesn't seem as fresh in the USA, I don't eat it that often and usually choose California rolls or sushi with tempora shrimp because the seafood is cooked in these. When I was in Japan, nearly all the sushi was raw (though you could get one with cooked rolled scramble egg on top). |

I'm like you. I like the cooked stuff. Not raw. It tastes gross and I don't want to end up on an episode of "Monsters Inside Me." Lol

I use to refuse to eat sushi. To me raw fish= bait. They one day a friend gave me some that didn't have raw fish. I fell in love, but still don't eat it with raw fish. I tried it with raw fish once and did not like the taste or texture.
