This is how I do it but that doesn't mean it's the correct way.

I a nut shell copy & paste the code from u tube into your post.

When you select your video in you tube and it is displayed on your screen......
on the righthand side about 3" from top is the word "embed" with a box containing code underneath
copy and paste that code into your post.

That should do it but preview your post to be sure.

I don't remember how to link to the video.

Good luck

I prefer just the URL link to the videos because if they're in a post, when you click them you're stuck until they finish and can't read other posts while listening to the music. With the URL people can decide whether to listen now or come back, etc. and can click it and a new YouTube window opens with the original (and can be made whole screen if one wants, etc.) and one can have it open and continue with reading different posts here at PC.

I don't get stuck in them so I'm not sure what you mean.

But thanks for the suggestion!

When you push play when they're in a post; you're stuck in the post for as long as they play in the sense that if you leave/continue to another post, they stop because you've gone away from them. You can't read another post and listen to the music from that one at the same time.

Too, because they're here from there :-) they're slower and take longer to load, etc. as they have to go through the PC software than just the URL which takes you to YouTube where they're at.

That doesn't happen for me. They come right up. Also, there is a stop button on the bottom of the video. When I click on it, the video stops.

Must be different for different computers.

? How do you put the YouTube video in your post?

Click on your video now, here, get it playing, and then go to the top of the thread and click on General Discussion like you want the Index back to go somewhere else. The video will stop because you've moved away from it, even if you're enjoying it.

Videos that you haven't already listened to, haven't "bufferred" yet often don't load as fast, especially for people who have dial-up; that's why they asked us to put a "Video" warning in titles for posts with videos since not everyone can deal with the YouTubes in the post as it messes up their computer.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
