It happens a lot to me. I am on a board and I send things around and NO ONE RESPONDS.

That is totally unacceptable.

Totally agree. My dogs have sumptuous beds, in many colors and variations They don't need them, but they need them. Know what I mean? LOL! All my pets are in the house. It's a lot of cleaning but they belong indoors except at play time.

Maybe consider the fact that not everybody has good social skills and some of us use terms such as "like" when we can't think of what to say? I am like this sometimes but I'm not in any way stupid. Sometimes I just blank out when socializing without meaning to. I am just not good at thinking of things to say to people unless I plan out what I'm going to say ahead of time.

Speaking of which, I am irked by grammar nazis that assume people are idiots just because they don't use perfect grammar. Who cares about grammar anyways? Almost every website or app has a built in autocorrect that fixes grammar and spelling mistakes. Writing things on paper is becoming obsolete. After all, why write a letter on paper when it's easier to use Microsoft Word, which has a built in spelling and grammar checker?

I would rather learn something relevant to the 21st century instead of why I'm an idiot for using "your" instead of "you're" lol
Thanks for this!

What irks me is when I am at the store, and a kid is having a temper tantrum, and is full blown screaming, and throwing a fit, and the parent just ignores it, and continues to shop instead of taking the kid out of the store. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just because complete strangers complemented my parents on how well behaved my siblings and I were when we were kids. But it’s just distracting to other shoppers, and unfair to the kid too.

I agree to a point. For example...I am 53, and I don't look as cute as I used to, obviously. Nature does that. I'm fine with it. I feel there is a limit to wearing sparkly butt jeans. I like them and think they are cute on a 20 something, but not on a middle aged woman. I am even balking on another tattoo at this point. There is one I have always wanted, but I don't know if I will now.

There’s a commercial on a channel I watch that plays Deck The Halls in the background. The commercial doesn’t actually mention Christmas, and It’s a kids commercial so maybe the company just thinks kids won’t pay attention, but still it’s January 12th.

I'm like you. I agree to a point. I'm 54. I have hair that hangs down to my tailbone, and I'd be the first to throw tomatoes at anybody who says I shouldn't. The idea that long hair is for young girls, while mature women should be spending money at the beauty salon every month getting a short, layered, permed, plastered-in-place hairstyle, I've heard since I was 29. To heck with that.

On the other hand, I've seriously toned down my makeup and jewelry. I don't do dark eye makeup anymore, or brightly colored nail polish, or big bold earrings. That, I save for the younger ladies.
Thanks for this!

It really irks me to see someone voice there opinion on mental illness and have no understanding of what it's like to struggle with it. They make assumptions. The big one is short term therapy yes it works for some people and people like me no and others. Everyone is different so is our life. Treatment should be able to meet where people are without time frames all the time

Adding onto my Christmas post from yesterday, I saw another Christmas commercial this morning. This one was for an after holiday sale. The furniture place even said “tis the seasons” at the end of the commercial. Both my mom and I were saying “wtf.” After the commercial was over.

I have long hair as well, and so does my next to oldest sister and she is 62. Mine is almost all grey and I will never color it again. I was never that into makeup, it was greatly discouraged in my house growing up and I never had overly much use for it anyway. I wear tye dye and unique jewelry, and will until I drop dead.

It irks me that there is hardly any immediate help im trying to help my friend get some counseling immediatly. More funding is needed in mental health and so much more resources still.

When managers tell you that you have to work longer then your scheduled shift. At my current job they are pretty good about giving you a choice if you want to stay longer or not. Although sometimes they will have a small attitude. But, at my last job the manager would just tell us we were working longer then we were supposed to. Sometimes hours longer. One time we were scheduled until 11 and at 9 she said “yeah, you guys are not getting off at 11.” She didn’t give us a choice at all. We ended up working until 2 that day.

The fact that ranch dressing, and hot wing soda exist. Is it just me, or does that sound like a one way stop to the sink or toilet? Who would actually drink that?

Sounds silly I know but it irks me that my neighbour parks on his front lawn. Next thing you know he'll have a bath tub out there with a transmission in it. The house really is a dump. Everyone else on the block takes pride and care of their homes. His is an eyesore that probably hasn't seen any upkeep in 50+ years. It is just one house but it makes the entire neighbourhood look seedy.

It really irks me no end to see people judge so harshly when they do not agree with something, yet they refuse to help make it better.

When some people tell me to smile, like the cashier at the grocery store today. Then when I am smiling people will ask me what I am smiling about and why. It’s like you can’t have it both ways. I can’t seem to please people with my facial expressions.
