I bought four teddy bears awhile ago, one for me and each of my friends. I am moving away to another state and I thought we can do a friendship activity where in the end we all get a teddy bear and something to take home in a paper lunch bag that will remind each other of our friendship. I'm honestly interested in ideas intended for elementary school kids. I thought about making charm bracelets, making our own yearbooks, or to do something unique to each of the teddy bears. I'm just not great about coming up with ideas. Thank you!

my idea is that each of you have a peace of paper, and on the paper you write 1 or 2 positive things about each friend, copy it, and give a copy to all the friends

you could also take it a step further by writing positive things about one friend, and each of the friends do the same about someone else, then you would all have a diffrent one- but they are all equally as important
Thanks for this!

I like the bracelet idea or maybe a necklace.
Thanks for this!

What about asking each person to bring something representative of them to give to the others? We did this at the end of one of my grad school classes. example - a woman named Amber gave small pieces of amber to each of the other people.

This is really old school, but have each person trace around their hand on a sheet of paper. Then each of the others rights something positive about that person in the hand.

Lark, whatever you end up doing I love the idea behind it.
Thanks for this!

An idea I just had is to get a large piece of cardboard/poster board and then all of my friends (4 of us total) create an art piece a la splatter painting with tons of fun colors and then once it's completely dry, take a box cutter and divide it into fours and each friend gets a piece of the art we made.

I still want to do something with the bears, too. One idea is to create bead necklaces/bracelets to put on the bear, and somehow find "bear-size" hats and maybe little "bear-size" baskets to choose from so that we can decorate the bear or put things in the baskets to represent each friend picked out by all friends.

So now I've got a really cool idea with the art piece, now I need to figure out what to do with the bears, because I think for all of us to have a special bear dressed up with things made by each friend would be pretty cool. Ideas for the bears, anyone?

I like both ideas, LL

I could ask each friend to get a pin that represents them, and that way we can stick the pin on the bear so we don't lose it later and most pins are about $3.

Lark, Michael's, the craft store, sells clothes for teddy bears. Maybe you could find what you are looking for there?
Thanks for this!

The bears are hugging a giant fluffy heart that's all stitched together, but I think I can find little hats/glasses and little baskets/backpacks. In fact, I could always use a paper lunch bag that we can decorate.

I am doing both of your suggestions.

I am giving everyone a playing card from the game "Never Have I Ever"...I chose the "lightest" things I am guilty of, "Been Skinny Dipping", "Seen a Ghost" and "Role-played" ("Role-Playing" is going to my kinky friend). I also wrote a little something special on each of the cards and signed it. I don't know what two of my friends will bring but I know one of my friends is bringing buttons/pins with something on it that she likes.

I will also do the hand print idea as well. I want to fill the jar as much as I can, so I am still looking for suggestions, but I don't want to do so much writing that it's not fun for my friends. I'd like to do some drawing/coloring ideas and things that we could use stickers for.

Perhaps a friendship scavenger hunt to put in the jars would be cool. Or some kind of newspaper cut outs of certain words.
Thanks for this!

I decided to create my own Friendship Scavenger Hunt that looks like this...

Ideas on Friendship

I chose my own statements and at the very bottom there are four long spaces where I'll also do "2 Truths and a Lie". I just wish my penmanship was better and to have a steadier hand...
