I'm going out to dinner with friends in about an hour and just ate tuna fish with onion! The onions were Spanish onions from my garden (trying to weed them so the ones that are left will keep getting bigger). I can't imagine how I'm going to get my breath in shape in an hour?

eating an apple
drinking water
chocolate
breath mint

Water flushes the system....there is an enzyme in apples that break down the onion...chocolate is good at drawing out bad tastes and breath and finally a breathmint before seeing your friends. Also, this may sound weird, but if you have some stainless steel silverware, suck on it. Sometimes I'm not too bright Actually the metal will help remove the onion from your mouth. Oh...and red wine is also suggested to help also Sometimes I'm not too bright

Good luck and enjoy your dinner!

on a sort of unrelated note, if you cut onions and your hands stink of it, supposedly rubbing your hands on the kitchen sink tap if it is metal will take it away.
