a bunch that aren't accepted here, but I'll try "*****." Well, Psych central doesn't like that one either.

How about "runt"?

Ok....TOP of my list is "whatever" my ex would always say that when he didn't like what I was telling him. It made me want to go get a baseball bat. Even 11 years after leaving him I still cringe when I hear that word. There was another word he used not as much & I can't remember that word but know when I heard either of those words before leaving him I would literally see red.

I also hate being called "sweety" or "honey" because I'm NOT

Lol...."tantrum".....I always liked the term "hissy fit" better

"Million dollar family"

If you've never heard it, it refers to a family who have one boy and one girl, implying anything else is less than perfect.

I'm with Eskie on the "sweetie" and "honey." Also "young lady." All of them are condescending.

I don't like it when a wealthy person is described as being "worth" X number of dollars. No. That person has money and assets totalling a value of X number of dollars, but that person is "worth" the same as any human being.

When people talk as though they have no ounce of education. For example, the phrases "I seen" or "What can I do you for" or "Borrow me..."

Also any thing racist, phobic, and otherwise politically incorrect.

What is particularly maddening is when such things come out of the minds of those who supposedly are well educated.

Amen! ^^^ "This morning I seen..." Really? You "seen"? Are you sure you didn't "see"?

As for sweetie, yes- it can be used in a condescending manner. But I use the word, and I reserve it for friends I am very close to. To me, sweetie is an endearment.

Interesting because politically correctness wording irritates the #@[[ out of me. If those feelings don't come from the heart they are meaningless or just parroting what they think they should say. I want people to express themselves "correctly" in their own words not words that someone tells us we should say. (Guidelines ok but it has become much more than that)....

Stepping down off my now

Okay, here is one I encountered today...

The guy said 'Indian'. The word is disgusting (unless referring to an East Indian). The correct term is indigenous or First Nations. How difficult is that?

I don't agree, at least not entirely. Yes, for some people pc is about what they think is acceptable to say. And for some people it's about being a decent, civil human being.

Interestingly, I know a lot of Native Americans (called here) because I live close to a rancheria and Native-populated towns. Some of the Native people I know refer to themselves as "Indians". I guess it's about preference.

I like the term First Nations; I haven't heard that before.

"Bae" = short for "baby", as in...a term of endearment. African-American. Similar to "boo".

So, yeah like all those like 'fill in words and phrases', you know what i mean. To be honest it's ,like, really annoying. But, if i'm honest, like, at the end of the day i do it myself, literally. I mean i'm just saying that i kinda don't like doing it, like, seriously. Do you like get what i'm saying.
