So what major cultural event did you miss out on but come to love later? For me I would say I missed out on both the books and movies of Harry Potter, I pretty much though they were for kids but now I love them. We sometimes watch the collected series on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
The other thing I missed out on was Britney Spears. My musical taste changed after my psychosis and I suddenly found her stuff to be awesome. How about you? Anything you missed out on and then found much later after the trend has passed?

I deeply regret not seeing Led Zeppelin in concert back in 1978.

I never got to see John Denver, and that's a big regret for me. I was a kid when he came to my town. Not that my family didn't try. You couldn't order tickets online back then. You had to physically go to the venue and get them. And the line was miles long.

Hmmmm, I worked at Expo 86 (Vancouver) for a two week stint at the BC Pavilion (I was representing my region) and was too tired after 12 hour days talking to thousands of people to go see anything. I regret not taking advantage of being there to check out the pavilions from around the world. Big regret. How stupid could I have been.
