pre-AOL days dial up even before faster modems it was one of the first 2400 baud modems lmao. we got Prodigy, the big name in internet connectivity of that time and I remember how awe-struck I was with having found some bulletin boards (BBS) online about owning reptiles. OMG I could actually post messages and have people reply from around the world! what magic it was!
