Liz, Rocket sticks his nose out to sniff Sir then back to running around. At this point he's worn himself out listening to music and taking in all the scents. His 'brother' i.t.(as in Isiah Thomas now NBA player for the Denver Nuggets but beloved fan favorite and former Boston Celtic player) is more fearless with cats. We boarded my son's dad's cat for a short while while he worked but was evacuated during the gas line explosion/catastrophe this past September. He tried to put his nose to her nose back then but the cat was more skittish than him.

Hello and Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday to those in the Western Hemisphere! I am bringing my little fire truck riding toy ornament. It's like the pretend fire truck I could actually ride in as a child.

And I'm bringing my Black Lab/terrier mix pooch, Raven. She's friendly and even likes cats and other dogs. And I'm not sure, but I think she'd even like hamsters. If not, then liz's spray will work on her, too.

I'm also bringing cucumbers for the salad and for Rocket!

Later I'll be back to eat and visit.

I haven't been very cheery this holiday season for several different reasons, but here's my wish for everyone here on this special day:

Sending Christmas love and cheer to all..... may your hearts be full of love and gratitude... may all your greatest wishes and dreams come true... may you have happiness & peace within.... may you have moments and days filled with joy... may you and your loved ones be healthy, and may you live without fear or worry. That is my Christmas wish to all.

Happy holiday of your choice this morning!

Miette (cat) and BG are going to join the party. Going to spray BG with the calming mist. He's got so much energy let's slow him down a bit. Miette never met a stranger. The other cats are too nervous around strangers. They get to stay home and play with the toys Santa Liz got them.

I'm sick as a pup today so I'm going to sit quietly in the corner and keep my germs to myself.

Hi, liz, and critters! Sorry you're not feeling well today.

I'm bringing some Southern-style deviled eggs I made last night and putting them on the side table. Now I'm going to get a cookie or two from our big selection. Wow, decisions, decisions! liz, may I get you something?

Merry Christmas! I'm slowly getting to my day. Going to check out and try the Chinese takeout that's pretty much right around the corner from me. It comes highly recommended. Recommended in a way as those in my quasi inner circle realize where I've been living these past several years mention this one in an omg way... There's several great spots that are local to me but this is one that I drive right by quite frequently if I'm heading towards any shopping plazas(groceries etc..) while avoiding highways which is often.

Hope you all have a Merry, or at least tolerable, Christmas. I'm running on fumes as I had no sleep after my back procedure yesterday. Still doing okay though, but will be glad to flop into bed.

I hope everyone had a good day. It was nice sitting in the corner watching everyone enjoying themselves. After planing a roast and veggies for IRL dinner I ended up having a bowl of clam chowder. No energy to fix a big meal and no appetite.

Shall we plan a New Year's Eve/Day PC get together?

It was a quiet, simple and enjoyable day. It's not over here, yet, as the Celtics game is still on. Watching Jimmy Butler of the 76ers whom my oldest mentioned as a brainstorm idea for an upcoming school paper.
Had a call from my dad. They are having a nice day with their 4 foster kids. He told me of plans for his upcoming anniversary and new wife's bday later this week.
I also had a surprise to me call from my half sister. I know she's in a world of hades but I kept things light explained my chinese food tradition-not for not loving to bake or cook and wished her well for today and her the same to me.
My maternal fam and I are in an all inclusive group chat so we all wished each other a merry christmas from all over the country.
My middle son awoke from napping to his favorite dish still warm on the table.
And we'll all go for our annual day after the holiday walk around the mall with some little purchasing power.
My new makeup is fab. So I did play around with that today-a little self care is what I recognize needing.
This thread has been fantastic, thank you TravelingLady!!

I'll be home for the New Year festivities as far as I know.
