It's a sort of tradition that I start these threads
This year I passed the exam to become a psychologist and I'm very happy about it! I also finished my post-graduation master and I learned many useful things for the job I'd like to do. I still have to find a job...hope to can add it to the list next year
I also found a few new awesome friends, both here and in real life, and I'm happy for this too
Would you like to share the things that happened this year that make you feel grateful?

Glad I got my divorce finally BUT still have a battle over the marriage assets in a state 2100 miles away.

This has been a very bad year of losses for me.....BUT I am thankful for the wonderful friends I have who are being a wonderful support through my very difficult times.

My favorite things of 2018:

-I took a Polish language class and went to all the classes but one. That's an epic win for me! It was also fun.

-I discovered body positivity and intuitive eating.

-I started going to a DBT therapy group. It's been helping, even though it is a struggle to be there at times. DBT helps.

-I learned how to knit cables! (the designy things on sweaters, etc). I feel like a BOSS.

-I discovered the awesomeness of embroidery. I am learning to make some on my own. #NotYourGrandmasEmbroidery

-I flirted with the idea of self marriage (who am I kidding, I still am).

-I seriously pondered what I really want my life to actually be like. I even wrote a list. It was a good feeling.

-I seriously had some moments here on psych central that were therapeutic as hell.

I am glad that I have been able to spend more time with my sister due to a change in her circumstances.

I am also glad to have started attending a new craft group. It took about two months to settle in but I did it. So glad that I persisted. The ladies there are lovely. I have learned a couple of new things. I can even knit a bunny.

I have thought of marrying myself too! Why do I have to find a man to love and cherish me. I can do that for myself. I don't need an "other half". I am not half a person. I am whole on my own.

The best thing for me this year was finding this site.

I'm thankful that I have to spend the little money I've managed to save to try and get another vehicle. I'm greatfull that if I don't get a vehicle in the next couple of months I can't get to work which means I'll lost my newish job. I'm happy that my vehicle insurance company is going to get more money from me because of the accident I got into a little while ago.

I'm also greatfull the government is going to get more money from me because I cannot afford healthcare.

I'm glad I still have this forum, (and hope I do in years to come, too)

I'm glad I found a new place after I got evicted from my last one

that I didn't attempt on my life

that they are making a downton abby movie (I can't wait)

finally getting my build a bear

trying new foods/ drinks that I like so can add to my variety

joining a freebee site and getting loads of free stuff delivered!

starting a new story (sort of based on actual events)

I found a new roommate so I didn't have to move.

I recommitted to sobriety and stopped drinking again.

I lost a significant amount of weight - still lots to go.

Reading other posts made me think about another thing I'm happy for this year: learning new crafts And I could also give some to other people, who seemed to have appreciated it.
I think it's nice to share these things we're grateful for, also because it helps thinking about other things you maybe hadn't fully realized yet

I am grateful that I got to see Morrissey and Johnny Marr in concert this year and I grateful for my family especially my Mom and little sister that made it possible.

2018 was one of my most peaceful years yet.
I also have a good command of my finances unlike in years gone by when I spent like a toon.
