We havent done this in a while and there are many new members (I'm a returning member in case you wonder. Lol)

Tell us how you chose your username and/or what it means.

Mine is after the song Kiss The Rain by Billie Myers. I find it really soothing when I'm hurting.

I'm KnitChick, a member with a former name as well. I like to knit, and like the ring "chick" adds to the end. I also like birds, though chickens are not really interesting to me at all, I thought it would be a silent homage to my love of birds anyway.

I am Katydid777 bc Katydid was a nick name my H's Grandmother gave me before we married over 25 years ago, and it stuck all these years, and the 777 is because 7 is my favorite #. But most people on this site call me Katy, and I am good with that.

The first word of mine was a character in a short story I started writing years ago but never finished it (I admit I got bored)

The second word is my favourite character from the Disney film Homeward Bound

My name is of an ancient goddess from the times the stars were new. I love old myths, creation stories and folk tales. Come, gather round the fire, tell me your tale.

Mine is kind of obvious, because I'm in a sorry shape sometimes. I'm not sure I'm ok now but I'm better than I have been

Someone on Reddit had the username and I really liked it. I also used to be a big fan of Mountain Dew. Not so much anymore.

I couldn't come up with a name since I didn't want to use either of my regular tags, to remain somewhat more anonymous. And really I have no use for a name...

My name. Except I don't usually have little asterisks around it. Those are there because someone else had already used my name, so I had to differentiate it.

I suppose I wanted to remain anonymous yet still provide a sense of identity. I really have not had a nickname in life - at least not one I appreciated.

It's a car. One I had a soft spot for until corrosion and rust got the better of it.

i'm toying with the idea of changing it. I would like to keep a level of anonymity and can not think of anything better at the moment.

A long, long time ago ... In a galaxy far, far away ...

I bought a purple peace frog sticker and put it on the back of my vehicle.

One day when approaching said vehicle I looked at it (the sticker) and said, "OMG! ... What a fat frog!".

A short while later, I went to the library and learned about the internet for the first time.

I joined a game forum and when it asked me for a user name I chose fat frog.

But, I wanted it to be unique (and different) so I entered it as PfatPfrog (the "P" is silent like the one in Pfizer pharmaceuticals).

Over time, I dropped the Pfat part and just started going by Pfrog.

And that's how Pfrog got their username!

The End!

I joined another forum back in 2010 and put in "downandlonely" because that's how I was feeling and why I was looking for support online. When that forum died, I kept it to use in this one.

In reference to microspikes/crampons. Personally relate to having sharp pointy edges.

I was going to call myself SadSack but remembered one of the seven dwarves was called Mopey because he had this long face all the time, so figured I'd go with that.
