Bethy, our views look much the same despite distance. Patty, we have 8, expecting another foot. Your welcome here. Bring warm clothes and pJas as we keep temp low to save oil. I don't believe anyone will be going anywhere tomorrow. Good, I can get the kiddo and hubby to Bake bread and cookies. I am so lazy, I can give directions. Sledding later in week with neighbor kids and maybe a ski for daughter and I? Fun Fun. Tell my knees to behave please.

Well, it looks like the worst is over (for now). Everybody has shovelled out. I wanted a white Christmas but this is ridiculous. The snow is piled so high in our little spaces that nobody has room to put it now.

Let's see if this city shows any courtesy for pedestrians and bus riders. Last time, they cleared a walkway, but had a pile between the sidewalk and where we get on the bus.

We have puffy white clouds and wind. Not as much wind as last night (which thrummed my balcony metal awning waking/keeping one awake). I just got a delivery from UPS in a Budget rent-a-truck! Never seen that before.

As of yesterday around 7pm, when hubby and I called Christmas shopping quits for the day, it started raining. It's been raining ever since. Weather Check

Amber and I got soaked this morning when we went for our walk. I had my face to the rain and she was jumping over puddles and trying to avoid them. Sissy pants! Weather Check She pouted when we got home because she was damp. Weather Check

Well, today is about 28 deg (celcius), that would be about 82 deg F. We're in the height of summer and it is really getting hot and humid now.

Rain has been predicted for Christmas but with very high humidity. I can't remember a single Christmas when I didn't sweat and feel sticky!

We've had an ice storm. I'm sure there's a tree on a power line somewhere, the lights all dimmed a bit ago. There's always a tree on a power line after an ice storm, but the power is usually out longer while the fix the problem then when the tree initially takes the power out.

I've got to bake cookies today and cook my turkey this afternoon, how do I KNOW the power is going to go out an hour into the turkey roasting? Wish me luck.

AAAA,

Ice storms are scarey! I hope your power stays on so you'll have heat, and be able to stay warm.

Our winter storm has started here, with rain. It is supposed to turn to snow this afternoon. Weather Check

Bebop,

A mist is a start. Will have to keep praying for rain for you.

Even though we didn't get that much freezing rain, our power flickered around seven times today. I am very thankful to God it stayed on.

We had a fair amount of rain today but the humidity is high and temps still at about 90 deg. (IF it snows, it only snows here in June - and I have never ever seen snow)! Sending you all some heat - I sure have enough right now.

Hi Nowheretorun,

We were supposed to have a snowstorm this afternoon, but it didn't materialize.

I'm waiting to hear what the weatherman has to say about it in a few minutes.

Thank you for the alert!

It started snowing unexpectedly here today. I went to my sister's for Christmas, and she lives on the side of a mountain--very hard to get off of in the snow. So we spent a lot of time helping my parents drive off the hill successfully. Then my turn. Now I'm back home and it is wet snow, sleet, about 32 degrees.
