Fog most of the morning but then just gray and now dark :-) I think close to 57 degrees though, not bad for February. I heard ducks and Canada geese getting into this morning, didn't know they had much to do with each other but a couple were really going at it for awhile this morning! I couldn't pick them out and they'd stopped by the time I started to seriously look but the quacking/honking fest made me think it might be coming up on nesting time? I saw a pair of Canada geese yesterday floating off (instead of flying, haven't seen them in the water for awhile) together that made me think about that too.

Hang in there coral, Cumberland County's average last frost date is April 2, got a month and a half or so yet :-) Hang in there at least until Easter/daylight savings.

I dislike winter
A strong arctic front will bring a burst of widespread snow on Sunday, and with the passage of the front there may even be a little thunder. Behind this front, temperatures will plummet into the teens and it will get very windy, with wind gusts over 30 mph. Also, heavy lake effect snow will develop east of Lake Ontario. The snow will increase in intensity to the north of Syracuse Sunday afternoon as very cold air spills into Central New York. This combined with a nice plume of moisture off the Upper Great Lakes will intensify this band of snow. A foot or more of snow is possible by Sunday evening across Oswego, Lewis, and far Northern Oneida Counties. Travel on I-81 will be difficult tomorrow, with whiteout conditions and blowing snow.

I misread your first sentence, Muffy, thought you wrote that you dislike "weather" Weather Check

Please stay off I-81 tomorrow where you are!

Check out the oh-so-crazy report from theweathernetwork for Cape Breton:

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM FORMING OVER NEW ENGLAND WILL INTENSIFY AND TRACK ACROSS NEW BRUNSWICK TO LIE NORTH OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND SUNDAY NIGHT. SNOW ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SUNDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 15 CENTIMETRES ARE EXPECTED OVER CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE PROVINCE AND 15 TO 25 CENTIMETRES FOR EASTERN SHORE AND MOST OF CAPE BRETON. HOWEVER..SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS NEAR THE ATLANTIC COAST ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BE AS SIGNIFICANT AS SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO RAIN. STRONG WINDS GENERATED BY THE LOW WILL ALSO CAUSE BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES FOR SOME AREAS. STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED BEHIND THE DISTURBANCE. LES SUETES WINDS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE HIGHLANDS FROM MARGAREE HARBOUR TO BAY ST. LAWRENCE WITH WINDS GUSTING UP TO 110 KM/H STARTING SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

so thats 15-25 with 110 km winds.

Whoo hoo, here we go.

Ill be fine as long as my net doesnt go down lol

ahhh more winter ....does anyone know why???LOLOLOL
LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS BECOMING BETTER ORGANIZED LATE THIS AFTERNOON
EAST OF LAKE ONTARIO IN AREAS BETWEEN ADAMS AND PARISH EXTENDING
EAST INTO THE TUG HILL REGION. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS EXPECTED
TO REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY ACROSS NORTHERN OSWEGO COUNTY THROUGH
MUCH OF TONIGHT BEFORE MOVING SOUTH ACROSS THE COUNTY TOWARD
DAYBREAK MONDAY. THE LAKE SNOWS ARE EXPECTED TO SETTLE ACROSS
SOUTHERN AND WESTERN OSWEGO COUNTY MONDAY MORNING BEFORE DRIFTING
BACK INTO CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY MONDAY AFTERNOON.
SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR ARE EXPECTED IN THE
STRONGEST PORTION OF THIS BAND. STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS BY LATE
MONDAY EVENING MAY REACH 1 TO 2 FEET IN THE MOST PERSISTENT BANDS.
IN ADDITION TO THE HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW...STRONG WINDS GUSTING
UP TO 4 MPH WILL PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW
WITH NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS AT TIMES. TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY
DIFFICULT...AND MAY BECOME NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES ON NORTH
SOUTH ROUTES SUCH AS INTERSTATE 81.

any bets on school will be closed? LOLOL

We had 12 degrees when I went out this morning. At least the 45 mph wind from yesterday quit blowing.

I think we should just all go visit Doh, would be easier? We can "trade" and she can have her choice of cold weather destinations to visit, with or without snow, sleet, ice, wind and dark of night.

I agree with perna as this my forcast for tonight and tomorrow
I just do not get the point to this LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Snow will accumulate about 2 to 5 inches by about midnight and then begin to mix with sleet. The sleet and snow will taper to light sleet and freezing rain and then all rain as temperatures rise to the low 30s.

so i can shovel . slip and slide LOLOL had enough I call winter over
ok everyone agree?

It's still only mid-February. We have about a month left of this stuff. Ugh. My Deerpark water for the next month got delivered while I was still sleeping so is out in the rain. That means the cardboard trays the bottles are resting on are probably soaked and the larger plastic coverings all wet. And I wonder why my husband doesn't rush to bring it inside? LOL

Ok the weather in the desert right now is nuts. The last couple of days have felt like spring. Opening up the windows was enough to keep the place comfortable. Then last night it was a little too warm so I put the a/c on to sleep - and woke up freezing and put the heater on.

Now we have a winter storm advisory. The wind is howling and the clouds are coming in. Don't get me wrong, I love the desert. I just wish the weather would pick one already!!!! I'm ready for spring!!!! My psyche needs spring!!!!!!!
