I was thinking yesterday how serious I must come across as here on PC. And yet, I absolutely love humor and consider myself to be humorous, too. In fact, there is scarcely an hour that goes by that I don't entertain myself, or others, with either humor or silliness. [Deliberate silliness is particularly common for me.] Also, I'm a rather major flirt, despite being married. I don't even hesitate to flirt with much younger men. That's sort of part of my humor.

What is something about you (need not be just a personality trait) that you'd like to share, that people here might not know? Preferably something positive. An appropriate level of anonymity is of course recommended. For example, you might not want to admit to being a serial killer.

I discovered my favorite film (the lion king), while lying in a hospital bed and believe the movie has healing powers.

I enjoy one packet of cigarettes a month. I've always enjoyed a smoke with my morning coffee, but never been addicted to nicotine.

I don't say a lot but that doesn't mean I don't have an opinion. When I do say things I tend to be blunt. I've found It is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt . Don't know who said it but I take it to heart.

I majored in French in college. Unfortunately, I've forgotten a lot since I don't use it.

I never drank at home...it was a social event for me so very early on I took to the bars. Used to drink 12-16 bottles of beer [Good Canadian stuff!] on Friday nights and repeated that on most Saturdays...for years. [Hair of the dog on Sunday afts sometimes if anyone was up to going out.] During that time I averaged close to a large pack of cigarettes every day of the week.

I stopped the pub life in the early 2000s and haven't had a cigarette in over 5 years. It was time! Drunken frivolity doesn't really fix much. Some fun memories however.

I can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue and despite being able to roll my tongue I can't roll an R sound.

I listen to shortwave radio: radio hams and long range DX listening. It's fun. I have a collection of old and new and there is nothing more comforting (other than a book by the fireside) than listening to a faraway radio ham and the weather is foul and I'm up in the attac with my rig and the tv is rubbish. That's another hobby.

Moved to a small town in middle school with a population of 1ess than 1000 people--no TV reception for part of my childhood, had to drive two hours to get some of the things we needed but very beautiful (in the mountains). Sometimes I dream of moving to a beautiful place again where the population is less dense and of just being outside and away from technology.
