I admit that I do wonder about Nessy given so many claim to have witnessed seeing something. The same is true for Bigfoot where some have seen it and spend years trying to research it and get evidence of what they saw.

So what do you think?

@Open Eyes I am not sure but in this article they seem to think it is a myth that locals have believed in. There is a monetary incentive for promoting a belief in it as it increases the tourist trade.

Thanks, there seems to be other big lakes that have a similar monster like Ogopgo and Champ as well as another monster in a lake not far from Loch Ness.

My thinking is that has it ever been DISPROVEN? Sure it brings in the tourist dollars, but things that have been seen by many, many people over decades can't all be myths.

Well, people keep trying new technology to see if they can figure out what people continue to report seeing.

Yeah I've heard. Plus I know the Lochness Lake is very dark and murky so it's hard to see anyway.

I'm pretty open-minded about stuff like this that others are naysayers about. If they are so sure it doesn't exist, then why explore? They want to know for sure, which means it's possible.

With all the amazing trail cam capability these days if any of these really exist there will surly be a good video taken. I don't think so. I was out backpacking in the Sierra's (Ca) & out of the corner of my eye I saw a black fuzzy thing. Could have been just a shadow or a black bear.....but by the time I stopped running with my 40lb pack on & looked around there was nothing to be seen. Rest of my group was up ahead on the trail so they saw nothing also. In other words things can be seen out in the wilderness & they look much worse than they really are & usually a wild animal just naturally found in the area

There is actually a lot of trail cam recordings but it’s always in the distance and not close up. This tends to lead to questions about if the footage is the real deal.

There are people that see it that spend years trying to get proof of what they saw. Then there are hunters that happen to see one and are frightened so much that they won’t go back in the woods.

Good points. All all the exploring with newer technology costs money, so why spend it unless you're sure there's something worth looking for? People want to be sure, not just say it's probably not real.

Being scared to death is a good reason not to get too close. I mean you see something and don't know what to make of it. It's strange so the survival instinct kicks in....you keep your distance.

Come to think of it, we don't know about EVERYTHING that's out there---in the woods or deep in the ocean. The ocean is miles deep in some places, and we don't have anything that can withstand that pressure. (The Titan is a good example)

I believe in many things until science proves they do not exist.

Not just sasquatches but inter-dimensional sasquatches??? Some in the squatch community have some pretty far out views these days. Taking cues from David Icke maybe? On the Nessie question I think that one is done. It's not much on tongue-tip any more.

Interesting REALITIES continue to unfold around us. An interesting mystery to me is...why aren't they enough for some?

I agree that the inter dimensional stuff is a bit too far fetched.

I do think there’s a high probability of some kind of a large creature in Loch Ness, I think there’s all kinds of different underwater creatures that haven’t yet been identified.

I’m not sure about Big Foot because I don’t know enough about it.

I think those are just "fun" things we like to talk and wonder about. I have always been fascinated with life forms on different planets. There is no way we are alone.

It's really hard to believe that such unique and large creatures could exist and there would not be proof when we're already decades into the age where everyone has a camera on their pocket.

I’m not sure. I’ve not seen enough evidence. Wouldn’t they be dead by now anyway?

I think life is very possibly out there. I'm on the same page with most astrophysicists concerning that one. Have not given aliens visiting earth much consideration. The hoopla just doesn't provide me with enough to even chase that wagon. Let alone hop on board. Chronic skeptic here...but being so works well for me.

I believe in the Lochness Monster and Bigfoot as much as I believe in the existence of drop bears.
