Hiding in my bed, regardless of whether I'm tired or not.

Prayer, breathing, getting in bed.

When really unwell, I cling quite a bit to my husband and psychiatrist. They are my rocks.

It's good for me to "lay low" when I'm getting manic or mixed. That's hard, in many ways, but I must not fuel the fire. When depressed, I do still lay low, but also try to get out or do something at home that is a simple/small pleasure.

I used to also depend on the companionship of my pet parrot. We lost him some months ago. It was just horrible! Horrible!

If things aren't too bad, I pamper myself with a date night, and am able to do a little (light) shopping therapy, for short bursts.

Cooking helps---baking helps even more.

When things get really dark, though, I head for bed. I let people near me know I'm not doing well, and that I won't available for a while.

I'm the same way. When things aren't that bad, I can get into my hobbies. When it's really tough, I just have to sleep. (((safe hugs)))

food - it literally depends on what I want.

music - to ground myself I listen to jazz, blue grass, folk, and positive but not too peppy music. Or sometimes I'll go with more melancholy emo and indie.

activity - I don't really know anymore. I should REALLY journal about this. I used to really like to knit, but I've been in a little bit of a lull lately with that. Maybe walking and reading. I'm definitely a renaissance woman so it's not just one thing.

memory - hmm...on a related note, looking at old photographs from my childhood is so fun. I have quite a few positive memories but I don't really want to share them, because 1.) privacy, but 2.) I literally haven't taken a trip down memory lane in so long. I'd need to take some time to think.

Good thread.
