Also, feel free to argue or question these anecdotes anybody? I'm just as happy as anyone to explore the truths of these experiences.

Yes, me too.

But what are your overall feelings or speculations about what's going on?

On the one hand we have direct contacts with what seem to be spirits or personalities from other realms, and on the other hand it looks like psychic types of reading the future phenomenon.

What are your beliefs about this @MuseumGhost?
Thanks for this!

When I was a kid about 6 or 7 years old in 2000 there was a weird Nickelodeon show called Cousin Skeeter. It was a bit old for me so I’d just use it for noise. My mom was in the basement with me one night and we were cleaning or something and it was on. Suddenly we heard Cousin Skeeter the main character who is a puppet say “you got your tennis racket, you got your bull ****.” My mom and I both looked at each other in surprise. Then my mom started getting all pissy about them swearing in a kids show. Then in 2006 I googled it and I could find no evidence at all that they had been swearing. I googled it again a couple months ago and nothing. I asked my mom a year or so ago and she said “I remember they were swearing in some kids show” I don’t understand how a 40 year old, and a 7 year old could mishear the same thing at the exact same time.Maybe the network got hacked and they just covered it up. I don’t know. I still can’t explain it but I swear it happened.

What about you @rdgrad15? What other things have happened for you?
Oh wow, that's amazing. I can only think of one other creepy story but I already found an explanation. I used to hear strange creaking noises in my house, especially when I was alone. It would make me think someone was in the house but no one would be there. It would be sounds similar to footsteps, banging, and popping. Turns out, most of the noises were either mechanical or the house moving due to mine subsidence.

Oh wow that is weird. Honestly, it could have been some sort of editing mishap or something else going on that caused it. Or, if it is a show that has different versions for various age groups, perhaps they aired the one with swearing in it by mistake. That is odd.

I had a crazy coincidental type experience happen when I was 17. I'd just finished reading a biography about Jimi Hendrix and closed the last page with a little lump in my throat and thought to myself 'I wish Jimi's ghost would make contact with me'. Then I thought to myslef, well, go downstairs and switch the TV on, something could happen, so I did. I switched on the TV and before the picture had fully formed [old color TV] the first words that came out of the speaker, as plain as day, were "Are you there Mr. Hendrix?". Just part of the script in one of the daily soap operas, but still. What are the chances? I then sat and watched for a little while to make sure the characters name was in fact Hendrix, and it was. Are you there Mr. Hendrix?
Thanks for this!

Has anyone ever seen a ghost?

When I was 5, I woke up in the middle of the night, and I saw an older man walk through the wall opposite my bed. He had short white hair, was of average height, and slim. He just vanished.

I’ve woken up seeing things like that before. Those are hypnopompic hallucinations. That could be what you experienced.

I personally have had so many things happen to me over time that I have no problem believing that there are other planes, very close to ours, but difficult for almost all of us to detect. I believe that we are only separated by something like thin veils from these planes. I also think people who can perceive these things are probably tasked with something very precious and important: Keeping human beings accountable, and reminding folks there's very likely something that follows this life. But whether it is simply leftover electric energy or something intelligent and able to act meaningfully, I couldn't say.

Nobody has ever shown up in my livingroom and announced there definitely is a heaven, hell, or purgatory, either. Or whether the correct religion to follow is any one particular choice. So I can't advise anyone, there.

My Mom was a believer, and accepted it as natural and normal for spirits to visit or linger; Dad was a scientifically minded skeptic about everything he couldn't categorize or quantify. So I suppose I have just a bit more of my Mom's easy acceptance of it all.

(I will add: I'm much more skeptical of say, UFO phenomena, as that is much more easily attributable to human activity. Cryptids, the same. I am not an across-the-board paranormal enthusiast. As I mentioned, I have never gone looking for anything but possible explanations for what's happened to me.) That is not to say people haven't had valid experiences! I've just had fewer exposures to events in these other fields. I can only ever speak for myself.

And I haven't seen a difference in the number of my experiences, based on the changing phases of my illness. I know hallucinations, auditory and otherwise, can happen with some forms of brain disorders. But the experiences I've had remained fairly consistent over many years, whether I was sick or well. Most have been completely benign, like the cigarette smoke incident.

And these days, the encounters I have feel more comforting than anything else.

Yeah I agree. I look for valid explanations too. I don’t believe in UFO’s that has all been proven to be human activity and I’ve heard that in the past, attempts to build military planes shaped like UFO’s have been made. So if there ever actually was one flying, it would be by humans, not aliens.

There have been a lot of weird noises outside lately. Sometimes stuff in the China cabinet will rattle. I’m hearing stuff right now. I just saw an article on Facebook that some people have reported similar strange sounding noises.

Yeah that stuff can happen as well. I've heard of people experiencing those things.

I doubt your life is creepy and unexplainable. I'm sure you have a good life like all of us.

I've never seen a full-bodied apparition. (I would probably need medical help if I did.) I've only ever seen fleeting images of them.

Yeah same. That is just me speculating. Most likely it was a hallucination or something of that sort.

A few years ago someone called my house and I didn’t answer the phone and she left a message on my answering machine that has my last name in the message and the person calling said “sophisticated lady, sophisticated lady, I know your there.” I was like what in the actual ****?” Who is this???

Also I’ve been getting a magazine subscription for a few years but I don’t know who’s sending it and the company won’t tell me who’s sending it. I don’t remember at all signing up for anything.
