I’m kind of going out of my mind right now, hoping my purchase doesn’t fall through. It’s been difficult lately because my Solicitor’s site got hit by a cyber attack, and because of work/other appointments I’ve missed a few phone calls from my estate agent and the solicitor, though I did call back as soon as I could.
I got a call from my estate agent today though, and they said they were chasing the solicitor up and would let me know if there were any updates. My mortgage broker tried to call early evening, but unfortunately I had popped out for a few minutes without my phone. I’m going to call back in the morning, if she doesn’t call first. Nothing in the emails/calls I have had suggested anything was untoward, though. I’m still scared this is going to fall through, though. The flat has been newly listed on the other site at only a tiny bit more money than I offered. Last edited by RoxanneToto; Nov 22, 2021 at 03:59 PM. |

I hope it works out for the best. I have found that things usually work out for the best for me, so I don't worry as much as I used to.

Thank you, downandlonely. I did calm down some time after I posted this and talked to some family/friends. I realised if it looked like it wouldn’t go through right now, the guy from the estate agent would probably have said something. I’m going to try and call the broker after the office opens in the morning, anyway. There’s still a chance for things to not go my way, but the catastrophising I was doing wasn’t helpful!
