What are you doing for Halloween?

i went to my hayride thing. i hadn't anticipated there to be a 3 hour wait for the hayride itself so i didn't actually go on it. I've been sleep deprived and need to try to get some sleep for work tomorrow. instead, i went through several haunted houses.

everyone there was in a group or in a couple. i think i was the only one there alone. i'm not sure that's the loneliest thing i've done, but it's up there. it was still fun though. i'm glad i got to see the fair grounds.

one time, after a scary person jumped out at me in a haunted house, i screamed and then said, "good job, good job!" in a frightened tone to get them to desist. i made everyone around me laugh. so that was almost like having friends/having a human interaction.

I don't think there's anything wrong with doing things alone, if you want to. There might be more people going solo than you realize, too. I went alone to a tree ID walk a few weeks ago. I noticed there were a few other people who came alone too. I'm glad you had fun, and honestly that's a good story about telling the scary person "good job." sorry! i didn't mean to imply that there is anything wrong with doing things alone. i have always had to find the inner strength, self awareness, and integrity to do things alone and believe it's a great experience for all to have from time to time. I do sometimes enjoy it too. I'm glad you do too!

however, i was lonely and there is nothing wrong with that either. and in this case i actually was the only one there alone. i know that because i was looking out for myself. when you're alone in a haunted house where everyone including guests are wearing masks/disguises, things can easily go wrong in an American Horror Story way i'm glad you had a good giggle at my story! i love feeling like my humor comes through!

I couldn't find my witch hat so no costume. Also, they canceled Hocus Pocus because our home team is in the World Series. But I found Hocus Pocus on Disney Plus and watched it just now.
