The orange Smarties are pretty good. Orange flavored milk chocolate stuff isn't common in the states. Usually its only orange and dark chocolate.

And how do the Smarties taste with chocolate? Smarties here are chalky and have only so much flavor to them...but that's not to say they're not one of my favorite candies. I asbolutely love smarties, but I can't imagine them with chocolate on them.

@LiteraryLark, I go to Canada quite often (haven’t been since covid though) and we always buy maple syrup there in cute glass bottles etc. It doesn’t taste different than maple syrup from Vermont or other places though. We do buy maple syrup flavored cookies, chocolate and tea when in Canada. I haven’t seen it in the US

Well, now that I think about it, yes, yes I did buy a Christmas gift for myself. I bought a cabin far away from any family and don't need to excuse myself for not wanting to go see anyone. I guess that this is actually a gift that will keep on giving because I am too far away for any of them to visit me too. Ahh, the art of positive thinking.

@raging vortex - I'm so sorry you are struggling with Christmas. I was triggered on Christmas Day for some reason, so I wasn't online. But I'm barely catching up to reading all the back-posts.

If I knew you in real life, I'd so get you the box set of voltron.

I remember being poor and homeless around Christmastime in 2015, my final semester in college. I don't know how I managed to graduate with straight A's, but I did. I slept in the airport, crashed on couches, slept in the library, etc. I also showered in the gym. It was brutal, but I did it.

I had no money for anything other than meals to get me by and school stuff.

Thankfully, I'm doing much better today.

I was in that place where everyone was going out and being with friends or loved ones, and I was homeless, poor, and alone. I truly didn't know how to deal with being around people when I felt so ashamed.

I don't know what you're struggling with, but I can feel the pain in your words.

That would be fun! I've never heard of voltron before today.

I wish we could have "watch parties" on these forums. It would be cool to watch voltron together on the forums, like having a movie night.

I am pretty practical these days, so I bought an LED light for under the kitchen counter. It will brighten-up a dark corner, and that will make me happy.

voltron is about some people who defend space and go to war with aliens to protect the galaxy.

They sound like Space Force, the new military branch, too. Though I doubt that they are battling extraterrestrials, unless they are keeping that hush-hush. Hee hee.
