This post is me trying it out. I have a mixed reaction. I don't care for the appearance of the Responsive Blue skin. So will likely not use it.
Plus, I agree with Beth about the appropriateness of some of the GIFs. My search was for "cat". The one I picked is kind of cute, but other choices show a cat with a cigarette in its mouth and a cat fighting with two dogs. I foresee problems in the future.

Exactly. The gif you chose is adorable and cannot be anything but kind. I'm fine with that. I don't like the gifs that test forum rules because I, too, foresee trouble and it seems unfair to invite it.

Not sure of the tech side of things, but can the staff pick and choose what gif's we are allowed to use?

Or is it a "all or none" thing?

There is no “staff” on this forum. I can’t imagine anyone having time to go through gifs and block bad ones. That’s not a reasonable task

I use sand and didn’t notice anything different. I like gifs but I’m not going to change to default just for that. Eh..like everything in life there’s “bad” gifs, just don’t take it personally because it’s probably not meant to be bad. Just different strokes for different folks. Requires the use of judgement and maturity

I was asking if the mods and admins *could*, not a "they have to" thing, sorry if i not clear

Could as in, do they have the ability to if there was a quick way of blocking bad ones

Not could as in we expect them to, could as in, do they have a quick switch or button or something to switch off child-unfriendly ones

Re blocking gifs - impossible. I mean, theres gotta be billions. Unless we made a gif sheet like our emoji sheet. But why, ya know?
