I am very disappointed in Tim Horton's coffee. I bought a 2 lb bag of whole beans coffee on Amazon and it tastes like Folger's.

I've wanted to try Tim Horton's for several years now because Deadmau5 goes on celebrity coffee runs to Tim Horton's in his million dollar cars and I watched every episode of these coffee runs, so I was super excited about this.

This is such a major let down.

It’s just average coffee in my opinion. Actual Tim Hortons cafes are famous because they brew fresh coffee more frequently than other places and it supposed to taste fresh. But actual quality of coffee is just ok. It’s no different than anything else. I thought maybe it’s different in Canada. Nope tastes the same as in a place around the corner from me. Are there Tim Hortons drive through places by you? I know it’s regional so maybe not

I'm sorry it was a let down for you.

I went to one on my way back from a vacation in Fall 2019. I got some frozen Oreo drink I couldn't get anywhere else and a hot apple cider. It was decent. My total was $6.66 and it was a bit unsettling to see that number before a long car ride.

Oh that’s a shame!

There’s a Tim Hortons opened in the city beside me. I’ve not been to it yet.

I like their sandwiches and donuts. And coffee is fresh. It’s just doesn’t taste different than other coffees imho

Tim Hortons uses cream with 18%!! milk fat. This is usually why people rave about the coffee. However most don't realize that this extreme cream is the root of it's yummeriness. I've had it with milk and it's nowhere near as tasty. Like yourself many have bought the stuff for home and have been disappointed. If you've had Tims with cream and liked it then the way to success at home is a carton of good ol' 18% creamer. It's pretty ordinary stuff otherwise I think. Just my observation.

They do have that policy about fresh coffee and that's good news although on occasion I've gotten one past it's prime. Not often mind you and they will replace it if you ask.

The slight sweetness of the 18% cream will ease the bitterness.

The regular coffee has changed. It is more bitter. I don't know if they added a Robusta bean to their blend or not, but it sure tastes like it. The dark roast is a lot smoother. I actually like it and can drink it black.

Tim's is not my first choice for coffee, since there are so many coffee shops were I live.

-- I really miss the Dutchie. I wish Tim's would revive them.

I like their dark roast.

The thing Timmy's is most famous for here is their iced cappuccinos - I love them, but they are a whopping 47 grams of sugar - about the same as an equivalent amount of Coke.

A summertime treat that's much healthier is Starbucks' iced passion tea (no sweetener or sugar). I love it so much that I bought a bunch of boxes of the Tazo tea they make it with (Tazo passion tea). I don't like it hot but I looooove it cold, and my husband really likes it now too. Very refreshing drink.

A lot of people who order the passion tea have it mixed with lemonade which is a delicious combination but of course adds sugar.

I'm not a huge fan of their coffee, to me it's just average and there are a lot of independent coffee shops where I am that are better. But I do like their iced coffee, although that's probably more to do with the cream and sweetener in it.

I do like their apple fritter though, I usually stop and get one to have on my way into work.

 I'm sad to hear Timmy's is not that great. One of my favorite authors is Canadian. Characters in her books frequently drink Tim Hortons. That left me wanting to taste it. Based on what y'all have said I'm going to take it off my bucket list.

Thanks! I’ll give it a try at some point I’m sure. I love fresh coffee!
The only thing is, there are a lot of independent cafes in the city beside me, which is cool and which I’m usually more inclined to try

That makes sense! Supporting independent cafes!

We don't have that brand in this part of the world. Still, I completely understand the disappointment of being excited to try a product and then it doesn't live up to expectations.

I once tried this really expensive coffee that was called "Death Wish Coffee" I suppose because it was supposed to be really strong. It ended up being a disappointment, but I think it was because I used the wrong brewing method perhaps. I do understand the disappointment though.

I see this brand of coffee in the stores, but even if it doesn't give me an anxiety attack from the amount of caffiene it doesn't sound very good.

I've got to echo most of the people here. I tried Tim Hortons when I was in Montreal and after I ordered a small can to use back home. It's good coffee, just nothing to write home about. Nothing worthy of a special order.

We have wonderful locally roasted coffee called Tablow. Can get it at local coffee shops or buy it to make coffee at home. Nice smooth taste with lots of flavor. I seriously make better coffee drinks than I get out including the iced coffee I make
