So, I just looked at my join date - May 2012, I can't believe I have been here for over 11 years! I can't believe where the time has gone. I have been through so much during my time here - so many hospitals, jails, institutions, jobs, boyfriends, just everything.

Just curious, how long have you been here? I remember when this was PsychCentral, now its My Support Forums - either way I think it's a great resource and I am so thankful that this community is still here.

13 years. I’ve changed a lot during that time. Things have calmed down and smoothed out. I too remember when it was PC.

19 years in October. Yes, have gone through a lot & have totally healed after moving to Ky & leaving my bad marriage in Calif. Life is actually better than it ever was because in my wonderful small town therapy I learned skills to be functional after living around dysfunctional parents & husband for 54 years. PC / MSF a good place to communicate about issues. Therapy was a good place to perfect the skills along with the small community I moved to. Life is good, still come here once in awhile

Mine says June 2015, but I am a case where I signed up then, but was away for a couple or few years. I'd say I've been a regular for about 5 or 6 of the 8 years. When I initially signed up I had a different screen name. When that changed, the original membership date of the first screen name remained.

I've briefly stepped away a few times during the mentioned 5 or 6 years. Usually because of bully types, who sometimes calm their bullying (and all is forgiven) or sometimes leave or get banned. I've also briefly left when my own behavior was amiss because of bipolar episodes or feeling too triggered by something. I've never been suspended here. Sometimes blocking members (on both or either ends) can be a way to remain in more peace. And even blocked members can be unblocked.

Since 2008, 15 years.

Man, I am going to really date myself. DocJohn hosted two other forums prior to PC/MSF. I belonged to both of them. The first was way back in the 90's.

I still call it PC, I think it will forever be PC for me because of how much I've been through since I've been a member. I've been banned too at one point and it was really emotional. I had gone back and looked at some of my manic posts when I was in a middle of an episode, and God I don't even recognize myself.

Yes, thanks @DocJohn, you've been helping us out for so long, and all of us appreciate you so much!

Off/on [mostly off] since 2013-14 when the place was PsychC. Used 4 or 5 different handles during that time. Varying levels of involvement...depended on head heart and soul.

It seems DocJohn has been here the longest, 05-24-2001, Fuzzybear & lizardlady are 2nd longest for active members. The IowaFarmGal has the most posts, 110,178. There's a good chance SlumberKitty has given the most hugs, 118,633.

We began the forums in 2001 as the "Forums at Psych Central." After I sold the main Psych Central site in 2020, I had to rename the forums to their current name. We are an independent community. So we're 22 years old!

I've been here since June 2016 but I didn't start posting much until 2018 or so. I am a completely different person in real life then I am on here. My therapist said to me "you don't seem like the type to get angry and I've been called "the nicest person you will meet." Idk. I just call it bussiness in the front, party in the back.
