Yes, my hobby interests help me so much. I’m a keen amateur astronomer, and I love being outside walking and cycling and enjoying everything nature has to offer. Oh, and I’m a cloud watcher too!

I can’t imagine life without these interests.

NovaBlaze, interesting you mentioned clouds as a hobby!
Years ago I bought a comprehensive cloud book and learned a tiny bit of the typical clouds that form. I remember some of them and why they form. It's so fascinating, isn't it? One of my favorites is the wispy looking the Cirrus (Mare's Tails), either form before or after turbulent weather.

Reading (mostly mysteries) and drawing are my hobbies. I also enoy walking & pilates though I'm not sure those are exactly hobbies as they are more in the realm of exercise.

Was it one of Gavin Pretor-Pinney’s cloud watching books, by any chance? I have a couple of his, and used the Cloudspotter’s website for a while. It’s really interesting stuff.

Music--I play guitar (incl. bass), piano, and am learning violin. Have a harmonica I dabble with if I fancy, used to do trombone and that's still around in case I want to torture my face/lips (happens every year or two).

I used to write a lot. I stopped over the summer after a bad mixed/manic episode and ripping up two notebooks worth of stuff I was planning on publishing--some of it I was told was incredible. I'm starting to get back into it a little, but my thoughts feel a lot blander and the words don't jive anymore unless I'm hurting in just the right amount in just the right spot where I'm thinking, things are flowing, but I'm not obsessing, wallowing, or dramatizing. Have very much been doing too much of the latter lately if this paragraph isn't a minor example of that.

-I hike (nothing major since October. Nothing Mt. Major in years though )
-I used to ski until a bad accident, was a liftie even. Going to make an effort to get back into it this year. I've been taking courses for instructing so hopefully next year I can get a job somewhere doing that.
-I just try things if get the opportunity. Sometimes they become genuine hobbies, usually not, but I've made some cool stuff along the way.

I think a hobby is whatever makes you happy, fills a passion, creativity, kees you busy, etc...whatever you make of it.

I am actually like walking for exercise and simply to relax and not think so much!😄

Gosh, my book is stored somewhere. It looks more like a field guide. I don't have any idea who wrote it though. But I've learned a lot from it.

MuddyBoots,

For me, music is the breath of life. So is being inspired to write.
Being inspired to play multiple instruments is amazing. I'm very happy for you that you have such talent.
Good luck with the skiing instruction work, should you get the opportunity. I bet that's something you will enjoy.

I ride my bicycle, practice yoga, and learn various skills. I also spend a lot of time learning about people, which helps me manage my social anxiety.
All my hobbies are centered around well-being. While nothing truly makes me happy now, I find contentment in taking care of myself.

Washing cars is my hobby. What many find to be a pain is quite therapeutic for me. I love a nice summer day when I'm in my driveway and have my tunes on and do the wax on/wax off routine. It is satisfying to me to see my vehicle sparkle. I also collect wood baseball bats. The older, the better. If anyone out there has an old wood baseball bat, 31 inches or longer that they're trying to get rid of, let me know. I may buy it from you. Thanks.

Used to play guitar, listen to lots of music, build model airplanes, exercise but can't do anything anymore and don't care. Spent lots of money on expensive guitars and stereos and am in debt.

I enjoy gardening and cooking nice meals. Since it's winter now, I have been growing indoor mushrooms from a store-bought mushroom growing kit. They're doing extremely well! In the spring through fall, I have several gardens to tend to. It's good exercise.
