Do you guys know or remember Mr. Bill from Saturday Night Live from the late 70's early 80's? They are using him on an Ad on T.V. right now and I've decided I need to more like Mr. Bill. No matter what Mr. Hand does to Mr. Bill whether it be hot coffee being poured down on him or him being flung out of a window and him landing on the windshield of a bus he always has some positive spin on what just happened to him. So I think I need to more like Mr. Bill.

I loved Mr. Bill. SNL was at it's greatest in the 70's and 80's. Perhaps I don't understand their humor now, it's just not that funny to me. We could a benefit from being a bit more like Mr. Bill!

I loved Mr. Bill too -- even had a Mr. Bill pin that my mom bought me when I broke my leg -- he had a cast on his, too. But what I remember most is the little song: "Here comes Mr. Bill's dog." I need to be more like Mr. Bill

It would have been interesting to meet the guy who wrote those sketches! You gotta wonder what HIS mental health was like. I need to be more like Mr. Bill

I LOVE SNL! Yeah, I'm a little young to know Mr. Bill from his original airings, since I am only 24. But, I love what I have seen. Yeah, I will agree that the show has been lacking lately. I guess it is just a dark period in the show's history. But yeah, if you want to know something about the show, I probably will know because I'm such a junkie for the show. LOL! I have read so much stuff about the show, did a research paper on it last year, and own a lot of the best of dvds, and want more.

Oh mak62184 you've missed the good stuff. There was a channel that had the best of with the older episodes on it, but I can't remember what channel it was on.

Dan Akroid, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, John Bluski, Jane Curtain, Gilda Radner (My all time Fav, RosanneRosannadanna!) A better cast could not be thought of again!

I know! E! used to show the original cast in reruns, but now they hardly show anything anymore. But that's okay because I do own the best of dvds for Gilda Radner, Dan Akroyd, and John Belushi. Yeah, personally, after the 70s, the next really great cast was from the mid 90s to about 2002. I mean, there has been other really good casts too, but those are definitely my 2 favorite eras of the show.

I loved Gilda! After I read her book I was unable to watch any of Gene's movies. How odd that he ended up marrying someone that looked just like Gilda.
