Halloween costumes for children - k-6th grade..

am... creating and donating some costumes for children in need for a school.. that.. is in a poor area of town... they have a "parade" of costumes.. and don't want any child left out..

so... any ideas.. inexpensive.. is the idea... plus.. perhaps.. something that would "fit".. different sizes... like a "ghost".. a sheet.. would fit several sizes..

any and all suggestions... would be appreciated..

thanks.. freewill

Go to an appliance store and get their boxes that appliances come in and decorate them. Cut holes in for arms and heads and they can become several things.

Dice, Computers, Robots with the aid of dryer tubing for the arms spray painted grey, etc.

For guy, hobo with large, old, "torn" clothes, a "round" drawstring bag you could sew from a bandana and attach to a stick to collect candy in. Girls can be gypsies with large "peasant" skirts and scarf headbands and costume jewelry, similar hobo bag but with no stick :-) for "purse" to collect candy. Indiana Jones with khaki pants and shirt and a "hat" or U.S. Marshall/Texas Ranger with star. Angel (using sheet and making wings from cardboard and painting them white). Football jersey and helmet (borrow from high school or someone will know someone who has one?) for football player. Teeny Bopper, Pink "poodle" skirt (made from heavy felt?), white socks and saddle shoes (or tennis).

Paper plates for masks or goodwill for costumes.

I posted this question on the scrapbooking website I belong to and someone said Dollar Tree has costumes. I didn't know that so they would be cheap.
