I love reading in depth interviews about what one has gone through in this life....combined with the pictures and the highlighted quotes, I have learned and grown quite a bit....

Always back to front, I don't know why but I've always read a magazine like that unless there is an artical I just have to read right off the bat.
hehehe, the chanllenge here would be reading a book back to front then making sense of it, or better yet an instruction manual back to front. ![]() |

Mostly front to back, but really I flip back and forth as stuff looks interesting. Don't read that many magazines anymore anyway, except at the hairdresser or waiting at my T's for my appointment to start. I have thought about subscribing to the Economist again, but it's a bit pricey.

I read a magazine both from front to back and back to front, but also starting from the middle and then choosing to go either forward or backwards.
It depends on the day, I guess.

You didn't give an option for neither! I read the articles that interest me most, then it becomes bathroom material and I read the rest of it there.

Neither. I go to random pages and look for stories that interest me. I never read an entire magazine, just whatever interests me, here and there, in no special order. Sometimes I go to the table of contents to help me identify the interesting stories. I actually had no idea some people looked through a magazine cover to cover.

<font color="purple"> It wasn't an option so I just put "front to back" but what I do is I look for the table of contents, read the articles that intrest me...and then one day when I'm REALLY bored: read the ones that don't. Unless it's one of mom's fassion magazines, then I just flip arround looking at the pretty pictures

The only two magazines I read faithfully are Newsweek and Reader's Digest. I read the same features right off the bat, then look through the contents to find anything else that catches my eye. Once it hits the basket in the bathroom I'll read the rest of the articles front to back.
I know that this has nothing to do with the price of tea in China, but my mom's best friend reads the last 5 pages of a new book before starting at the beginning, what's the fun in that? Anyone else sneak a peek at the ending before reading?

I'll read some of the beginning, then jump ahead a couple of chapter, then jump back, then maybe to the end, then back again. I almost always do this. It bores me to read a book cover to cover, beginning to end. I like that I can read it in whatever order I want. There are no rules to reading books. I like the freedom.

Sunrise, that would be entirely too confusing for me! Even books that are written that way lose me. When I was in HS reading Dune for the first time, I was so confused that I didn't even realize that half the book was missing and the publisher had run a printing with like chapters 5 - 8 doubled. All that switching back and forth between the houses! Maybe that's why I don't like Shakespeare.
I was tempted to read the end of the last Harry Potter book, but my kids kept me honest.

I write stories, and I also don't write them from start to finish, so maybe that is why I read books that way. I tend to write the beginning of a story first, then the end, then the long middle. I feel like I can't write the story properly unless I know where it is going. The events in the beginning and middle must foreshadow the end, so I need to have the end written fairly early on so I know where the story is headed. if that makes sense....

Makes perfect sense when you look at it that way!

Actually, I only read the specific articles or look at the featured pics that interest me. I ignore the rest of the magazine. Sometimes, there is no specific order, but generally, I do go front to back.

I flip through it randomly, but one thing I like to do is take out all the reply cards, etc. inside it before reading it, because it makes it easier to read.
