Tyger went outside this morning when the FedEx guy came to bring me my supplies for my CPAP mask around 9 and its 5:30 now and he hasn't come back. It has been almost 100 degrees outside today and I am very worried about him. It is not like him to stay outside all day. He usually comes back several times during the day to check on me. I am very worried something has happened to him. I am trying to stay calm and think that maybe he is in the shade sleeping or in someone else's apartment because I have heard he does that sometimes but I am worried. I can't go walking the apartment complex to check on him because if I stand up too long I get an ocular migrane and I can't see. Please pray he comes home soon. If something happens to Tyger I don't know what I will do I love him sooooooooo much he is my life.

Jbug I hope tyger comes home soon.

Is there someone who can help you look for him?

I'm sure he's fine, think possitive.

I just put his food out for him hoping he will smell it and come home. I have been going out and sitting on my car hood and calling for him every so often but so far he hasn't come. I hope he comes by sundown or I'm not sure how I will sleep tonight knowing he is out there in the great beyond.

I'm worried for him too, Jbug! I have three cats who are "inside-outside," and they do sometimes go away for over a day, but they always come back. It worries me when this happens, but I live in a quiet area near woods and they have always come back. It sounds like you live in a more urban area? I hope he comes back to you soon.

Tyger is HOME!!!!! I just opened the door to go call him again and he was eating his food. He came in meowing and gave him a gentle scolding and brought his food and water in. I am very excited and happy. Now I can sleep tonight knowing he is safe. I called my parents to let them know he is home and dad said he was probably off visiting his girlfriend or something..I just laughed because he doesn't have those anymore so he can't have the urge to that anymore LOL.

The little stink wad ate dinner and promptly wanted out again but I punished him LOL and made him wait an hour. He whined and moaned and clawed at the door but I stuck my guns but I let him out again. He doesn't have a litter box he uses the field across the street from my apartment so I have to let him out so hopefully he doesn't do another disappearing act.

I have a litter box in my garage, but my three cats also prefer to go outside. I think this is a good thing!

He is safe and sound now sleeping on the floor in my bedroom. He went out for about 30 minutes this morning to do his duty. Before he went out I gave him a stern warning not to stay out all day and worry his mommy again LOL. He acted like he was listening but who knows with a cat LOL.

Glad Tyger's home. Have you had him neutered?

Yes he is neutered so I don't have to worry about him doing that. He came to me neutered so I was glad of that.

Jbug,

I was speaking of neutering in regard to roaming. Neutered animals tend to roam less, but males in general like to explore outside their homes more than females.

My littlest kitty, Katie (a female), likes to go out at night. We try to make sure she is in before we go to bed, since there are coyotes here.

Today he has been doing good. We got up around 8 when the phone rang and I let him out to do his thing and he came back about 30 minutes later and has been in the house all day and then I went to supper with a friend around 5 and when I got home about an hour later he went out again and then promptly came right back in but I am getting the vibe he wants out again LOL. That's ok he seems to have learned his lesson.
