Does anyone here watch Food Network? What are some of the shows/hosts you like to watch? What are your least favorite shows/hosts?

I like Good Eats and 30 Minute Meals. Also like Iron Chef (both Japanese and American versions), and I like A Cook's Tour with Anthony Bourdain. (He's got his show "No Reservations" on the Travel Channel that's a lot of fun too.)

I confess I am a Food Network junkie...yes my name is jbug and I am a food networkaholic.

I like Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, the Neely's, Simply Deliciso, Guy's Big Bite, Elle McCreger (sp), almost everyone..I'm not a big fan of Good Eats I'll watch it once in awhile..I do like Unwrapped...I also like that new show that was on tonight Food Scientist and the list goes on and on.

I would love to have my own show on there but know that I couldn't hack it on Next Food Network Star.

I like Ellie Creger too (don't know about the spelling either...) There are a lot of other Food Network shows I like too.

Next Food Network Star is kinda tricky. I don't think I'd do well in that environment either. You could get your show on there without having to go through that...I think with Food Network, they play shows that people tape elsewhere, not in their studios...you could make a show and submit it, see what they think.

I've gotta go to sleep pretty soon, but I'll post more later...

Oh yeah and also I love Emeril, he is so funny. Giada is cool too. So is Paula Dean, my mom got to meet her. Unwrapped is one of my all time favorite Food Network shows though. There's one guy on Food Network that I can't stand but I can't even remember his name right now. He's the weird one with the dork glasses.

Why are you ashamed to like Chef Ramsey?
Well, yeah, nuking counts as cuisine. I found a page of 10 or 15 minute meals in a magazine once (can't remember which amount of time it was), but they looked pretty tasty.

She does make cooking fun and approachable, doable, doesn't she? Thank goodness, because we all should learn how to do it, a lot of it is not too hard once you get the hang of it. As for the tight jeans...well, she reminds me too much of a best friend or sister to get into her that way, but she is cute.

Rachel is the girl, isn't she? Doesn't she remind you of someone you know? She's one of those very personable people that is so down to earth and genuinely friendly.

I saw some of the Next Food Network Star a little while ago. The one where the lady with long dark curly hair won. She wanted to do a show called The Gourmet Next Door, or something like that. It seems like kind of a hard show to participate in.

The guy in the dorky glasses you're referring to is probably Alton Brown, of Good Eats fame. He seems to have a personality that people either love or hate.

I've seen a little of Ace of Cakes. Those are some seriously creative cakes, I'm impressed! Wish I could make cakes like those. One of my sisters and her husband are into Semi-Homemade. It's a good idea.

I really like Good Eats. I've watched it on and off since it began in 1999. I've learned a tremendous amount about food and cooking from watching that show, so much so that I feel like I've been to cooking school, even though I've never been.
