Do you know what a carpet ghost is? I didn't either 'til I watch Martha today and it's when a piece of furniture rests to long somewhere and it leaves an indentation in the carpet. Well to get rid of the indentation put a piece of ice on the indentation and it carpet will soak it up and it will be gone. Kind of like magic.

I like carpet ghosts. They give a room character.
Of course, I also like peeling paint, dust, and general home dishevelment. But those hardly help raise the value of my home, LOL. Thanks for the tip, next time I've got company coming over, I'll remember it.

We use the carpet ghosts under our living room table legs to know where it "belongs" when we move it temporarily :-)
