A lot of things have been beating me down lately and I've been struggling with a lot of things.
But today I did the first day of my First Aid for Children course (has basic adult in it too). Apart from nerves in the morning and seriously contemplating not going, I did not let the nerves get the better of me, I sat in a room with several other people I didn't know ALL DAY without asking to leave, I even tried to join in conversation a few times. OK OK it doesn't sound much, but at the moment that's a big step for me and I'm actually proud of myself  :Excited:

Well done!!
That doesn't sound like nothing at all.. most people would find asking questions in front of total strangers a little bit difficult at least. You deserve to be proud of yourself.

I feel so happy, I haven't been this happy in a long time. Not only do I feel like I've done something I never thought I could do so soon, but having other people reassuring me that it's something to be proud of has cheered me up loads.I've cried tears of happiness for once instead of sadness. OK now you're all gonna think I'm mad and overreacting. I'm just so happy that I'm happy :Excited: (((((hugs to everyone)))))

That's really great congratulations. I'm really shy too, so I know what a big deal it is to go to something where there will be a bunch of strangers and you managed it and even managed to speak up. Definitely something to be proud of.

I think that was an accomplishment!
I too, have learned recently, to take it one step at a time. You are doing good work on yourself! The best thing to do is reflect on this achievement when you have to rise up to another challenge, like it sounds from the post above. Don't give up on yourself. You are worth every attempt.
