Oh boy this town is going to be very, very well read! My vision has always been like squishing a library and a bookstore and a coffee shop and a lounge. There will be books to borrow, books you buy, old rare books, plenty of places to sit and read in the store, drink coffee, a spot for the kids to hang out after school and get help with their homework and enjoy. Books are therapy for me and I can they are for so many others, too; so maybe there will be room for my place in town, too.

I'd be the town keeper and researcher of useless facts...may have entertainment value in the library or coffee shop.

I will run a resturant where if you don't have the money to pay for your food I will let you work off your meal.

I would try and educate the teens at the local school. Not just Math, English and Sciences but developing skills for living like understanding, active listening and communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, oh and so many more important life skills.

Let us just say this PC community IS a movie can we? can we?

OOHHH how about re-visitng Cherry Oleander?

Which one of us members will be the first to leave the community after all certain books in our library and even the book store even useless facts point us to....the wind points us to...there is a big world out there..

....the plot thickens..

Which one of the PC members will make the trek out into space BEYOND community......is it for your job you are doing this? And what exactly do you find in the real world? Does the grinch get you and who exactly is the grinch?

I also think i would like to be the person who plans community events like potlucks and dances and community meetings. I can imagine our community as such a loving caring town. I am sure we will have problems but we will work them out.

While I never wear that hat here in the forums/chat, I think if the community became a real town I'd be what I am in real life .. a therapist.

I'll buy the big abandoned Cherry Airplane Hangar behing the Silver Sparrow Coffee Shop. I'll turn it into the town pool hall, divided into two sides, one will be a bar for the adults, the other side will be for the teens and peeps who don't drink. That side will serve coffee from the Silver Sparrow. This will be the first pool hall where you get free lessons from the blind lady. In the back room on the coffee side there will be the Anonomous Fellowship Hall where all the twelve step meetings are held. Here we'll have a coffee pot with generic free coffee or Sparrow coffee for sale. When the peeps from the bar side get tired of drinking, they can wander over and play sober pool and hit the meetings. When I'm not here I'll be at the Silver Sparrow on my talking computer, annoying people when I don't feel like using the headphones. You'll find me around town banging into things with my cane. My favorite path is the one up to the Grinches house. He likes me cuz I can't see him so he doesn't feel self conscious.

Are the mods the police tee hee. If so can I be an honorary police officer too?

Come chill at the Cherry Pool Hall and have a cup of yummy Silver Sparrow coffee. My fav is the iced Mocha. You'll find me there with WMD in the mornings before the pool hall opens.

I'll be the somewhat reclusive quirky artist who frequents the streams and riverbeds looking for rocks. No one quite knows what to make of me, as I too live in a minimal hut outside of town, where I tend to the many animals I've rescued. I love the town though, and do venture in to visit the coffeshop occasionally.

Mine is simple, just The Cherry Pool Hall.

Patti, I think I want a cat that lives in the pool hall. She would be sneaky, sometimes jumping up on the tables to hide the cue balls when no one's looking. She would like to play with the chalk. Got a cat for me? Oh and maybe a big pit bull to roam the outside, he looks scary but will just lick you to death.

My boyfriend wants to name him Butters. He wants a family of pets named after South Park charactors. We've already got a cat named Timmy . Butters fits, as my pitbull is the color of butter with matching eyes. Everyone who comes to the pool hall loves him, but he gets aggressive when there's problems. What should I name the cat?

Oh, yes, Raynna, I'll provide you with a pool hall cat as well as a loving put bull. I think you need to pick names for these two rescuees!
As I become acclimated to the town, it occurs to me that there is not art gallery or craft shop. I think I'll open one, and I want the town's people to think of a name for it!

Ahhh...I see you have already named them: Butters and Timmy. Great names, and I foresee Butters being a kind of town mascot whom everybody knows and greets with affection.

Yes, Rayna, I have the perfect cat, kind of young, ragtag, and worldly-wise. She is a yellow tabby with shaggy fur.

Oh perfect, I'll take her. Just the cat I was picturing.

Oh, and to the paper editor, I need to run an add for the positions I'm hiring for at Sherry Hall. Need a cocktail server and someone to run back and forth getting coffee from the aparrow. That person would need some barista experience and get along well with Silver Sparrow. Oh I guess I'll need a bartender too for the bar side.

Hehehehe this is like that Sims game. We're developing a town. Fun stuff.

OH, I've named the art gallery/craft shop...It's "Rocky Road Gallery," because of my art on rocks which I've done for so many years, but also appropriate for our struggles as town residents. And, yes, Rayna, it will have a huge assortment of yarns, as I too am a yarn enthusiast. It will be a "co-op" business where those talented members of the community share in operating the storefront. The only profits will go to the sales, no commissions, and we will all share in the rent and upkeep of the store.
Love,
patty
