Okay, so I wasn't sure where to put this. I was thinking either here, social, general MH, or games. I obviously decided on this one because I think creating a username requires some creative energy. I feel like our usernames give us insight into others - sooooo....

If you feel comfortable, reply and tell us why you chose the username you chose

I chose beutifulxdreamr as an off shoot of beautiful dreamer. I really like the lullaby, though it isn't my favourite. Brahm's lullaby was my favourite growing up as a child. So I guess you could say I based my user name off of my second favourite lullaby.

I like to think of myself as that dreamer... I'm often day dreaming, and whenever the moon is full I wake up with a lot of energy. I like how the world looks like it is glowing at 4:00 am when the moon is full and the sky is clear. It even blots out the red glow of the city lights. Also... I find that as I've gotten older my only reprieve from the busy world is my dreams. This song has been comforting in my adult life. It reminds me that all sorrows are washed away at night and tomorrow, when I awaken, I can begin anew.

Probably really cheesy, I know. But that's why I picked it =]

Your turn!
Thanks for this!

My user name isn't really about originality or creativity, it's jut easy to remember. When someone asks me what my name is I generally say, "Umm... Kelly." my real name is Raquel, and I have to stall to figure out which one I want to tell them.
Thanks for this!

Yes sometimes I second guess my choice as a username... it's always one I've fallen back on. I thought of it some time ago and use it in other places. I have another user name that I would like to use someday, I just forgot to use it here. But I'm sure another chance will arise as I am somewhat addicted to the internet.

Well... I guess, Rachie, think of some things that comfort you or make you who you are, or just some things you are interested in. Favourite animal, story, colour, number, etc. For example, the reason I have an x in the middle of my name is because, in the anime/manga circles I am in x is used a lot to show a love connection. So whenever I see that x in my screen name, it sort of serves as a reminder to me that love should be at the very core of all my interactions. Little things like that that have so much meaning to you is what makes your screen name interesting.

You could even explain to us the importance of the name Rachie to you. Who initially gave it to you, etc. (only if your comfortable of course)? Rachie is still interesting because it's you

fun question beutiful dreamer, i like that song as well, it is so gentle and sweet.

i came onto pc to find some people with dissociative identity disorder. so, there is more than just one of me in here sharing our time online and on pc.

the name multipixie popped into my head when i needed a user name and it made me smile. DID can get grim and frustrating too, but it can have a whimsical side to it as well.

see you around, have some fun too!

I'm glad there is a whimsical side. One of my loved ones has DID - it's very good to know that it's not all grim. Thank you so much for sharing

I love when people identify themselves as mom's in there user names. I know a few people who do that and it just makes me think: "wow, they are really proud to be mamas." I want to be a mom like that some day

It's an animal. Before joining, I did a search for a list of animals & found one I wasn't familiar with, which is a guanaco.. a South American llama or camel-like animal.

I don't put a lot of personality into my usernames, and I rarely use a username twice because I appreciate having as much privacy on the internet as possible.
Thanks for this!

I love cats! And I specially love when you see a cat and the cat stares back at you with those lovely eyes (The cat is looking directly to your own eyes). It's a special moment where the cat is like trying to say something to you through his eyes. Besides I love the special shape of those eyes. Another thing I love about their eyes is when they enter the hunting mode and their pupils dilate so much that they get completely round.

Lifelesstraveled...I think it speaks for itself, but I chose it because I am 26 years old and have YET to live my life. I haven't explored the world around me b/c of a variety of reasons, all of which I am in therapy for. I have lived a very unfulfilling life thus far and it's very sad and disappointing to me. So I in a sense i am "living" because I am alive and breathing, but that is all I am doing--im not LIVING---I am doing the bare minimum of living.

ohh I love this thread so much fun! and so interesting!

I got my user name because Sparrows mean so much to me, they are my favorite little birds, and represent hope, healing, and moving forward, also strength. they are such characters and so resilient! I love them
Umm I don't really know where Silver came into the equation, probably like the silver lining in every cloud!!

I picked my name from the movie The night The Lights Went Out in Georgia. Kristy Mcnichol played the main role of Amanda, Waylon Jennings I think is the one who wrote the song Amanda and the lead male character in the show sang it to Amanda (Kristy Mcnichol) in the movie.
